It's actually impossible to transfer the posts from proboards. :( There is no transfer utility available for PB boards. That's a real drag.

Hi Linda, great question.
Shortly after I opened the Corral I made a decision to one day move the Corral away from Proboards. I just felt that it would give me more freedom to make the Comics Corral 100% my own and allow me to do more with it.
It's something I battled with for a long time and I knew the biggest obstacle would be the fact that none of the old posts would be able to come over here. That's my biggest regret, but I am confident that we will fill this place up with the same great posts and great ideas as before. At nearly 25,000 posts at the old place we certainly have our work cut out for us!

It's weird, but it seems to have fallen to me to ban the last two or three members at the old Corral.
As far as I'm concerned, everybody is welcome here including those who were banned. I am always into second chances. Ultimately, it's up to Hoss, but I would give them all another shot. The key is that there are no abusive attacks or trolling or baiting or degrading insults from new Members. Do some present Members get away with trolling and insults? Hell yeah, I'm probably considered one of them, but after you have gotten to know somebody on a discussion board, in even a peripheral way, it becomes easier to appreciate differences of opinion and differences in personality and insults and barbs tend to lose their meaning and become more like pure sarcasm, and in my admittedly twisted mind, sarcasm is pretty funny. But if someone comes on board and immediately starts insulting and degrading another Member? I still think there's no place for that.
Second chances? I'm all for them. Just don't rile up the wrong person and make them miserable or you'll likely get banned again. Otherwise, anything goes as far as I'm concerned, nothing's changed there.

Hell, I actually enjoy that crazy raise-the-hair-on-the-back-of-the-neck marsupial's antics (in a twisted kind of masochistic way). I appreciate the fact that he is so good at what he does (pissing people off that is) and actually think his whole schtick is pretty funny. Of course, I've never been on the short end of the schtick in dealing with him, as others here have, so I don't want to offend them and want to make it clear that I don't endorse what he did/does, I just think there is a weird kind of balance that he brings to the sometimes sanctimonious and way too serious discussion of CGC. Actually, I think that what he does and says has little or nothing to do with comics at all. My HEYYYY HOSSSS possum question was a not-so-veiled invitation in itself. Hell, what better way to inaugurate the new digs than to have a little all-out chaos to start things off. It worked last time, right? Another hair-brained C.G. idea? Probably, but I would get a kick out of seeing him return, even if for a short time. But that's up to Hoss and y'all to decide, not me.

I'm with CG! It's a new start for everyone. I will be vigilant and will not tolerate shennanigans from previously banned members.

I kind of helped to move round 8 over here and I would vote for Camper to be the member of the month still and retain all said privileges.

I hope to get your M.O.M. thread Revisited over here later tonight or tomorrow (baby permitting) and here's an experiment.
I have yet to dole out any Karma...um...Corral Cash over here yet, so I'm still pretty foggy on the going exchange rate. Given that Corral cash seems a little closer to U.S. dollars (sorry about that Canadian rate thing), I think that a 10 to one (Karma to Corral Cash) rate seems about right. Karma was just so damn easy to accumulate (especially with me around).
So here's a 100 smackeroos of Corral Cash to make you the richest Member in the New Corral.
Don't spend it all in one place (and please help me put my head back on after Hoss rips it off)!
