Noticed this weekend that the comic listings on ebay had dropped somewhat.
Used to run around 135K or so, now down to 95K.
Also have noticed that pretty much all of the low price comics (under a buck) are gone from the stores.

I noticed that too. Seems like folks are getting tired of listing the bargain bin books. That's too bad....it was always nice to add on a few comics to a purchase to fill in my want list.
By the way, btd, I finally got a chance to check out some of your books on bluejay. YOu have some nice stuff! I'll have to pull out my want lists and do some shopping. I get paid this week, so I'll probably get a few things in a few days. How's bluejay working for you? I noticed you had quite a few views on some of the comics I was checking out.

The listing price increases for stores last August really stops me from listing what remains of my collection, especially the less expensive books. Before it only cost 2 cents a month now it's 5 cents for books under $25, 10 cents for everything else. During the collecting season there's enough sales to list most everything, at least on a rotating basis. Right now I only have about 25 percent listed because sales are dead.

I do OK with Blujay.
Don't know if some of my sales are from people there (I suspect not) or from various boards and auction sites I promote my store on.
As I tell folks who ask, Blujay is BYOB (bring your own buyer).
But, with everything free at the moment, at least it costs nothing to hold it there.
Used to have my ebay store with 2K of mostly $1 issues in it.
But, when the price structure and search changed, it just wasn't worth the time anymore.
After monthly costs, I was doing little better than breaking even.

I think it took a lot of store sellers longer than it should have to realize that the August 2006 listing price 6% increase (doubling) makes anything under $4-5 a real liability in stores. Those that list these are hemorrhaging fees to eBay.
Listing totals always decrease in the summer.
Time will tell...
