What are your good reads so far in 2007 in comics?

For me so far....

Fantastic Four : The End #1-6 Awesome story, art and a great ending to boot.

Uncanny X-Men : The Rise and Fall of The Shiar Empire. It's currently running in the Uncanny issues. It has been a blast so far with the final chapter coming up next month. Ed Brubaker is a great writer with solid art.

Lone Ranger (Dynamite) #1 - current...I haven't got #5 yet but I'm sure it's good. The Year One type approach to this story really gets my western fix going.

Hulk (regular series) It gets better and better. Just wait until World war Hulk starts, it's gonna be a blast!

What's your good reads?

Wow! For me it has been a great year for comics so far:

Action Comics
Wonder Woman <--This one finally got back on track after a shakey start.
52
Incredible Hulk
Most of the Civil War story
Jonah Hex
Loveless
Exterminators
American Virgin
Testament
Walking Dead
Marvel Zombies / Army of Darkness
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Blade
Ghost Rider

hmmm. it might be easier to just cut n paste my entire pull list...:)

I love most of the comics I buy each month (and tolerate the other just enough to keep on buying em). Hardly a week goes by without anything to be excited about reading for me.

Walking Dead, Fables, and Y the Last Man are always good stuff. I'm also enjoying (in no particular order) Lone Ranger, Conan (main series), Punisher (MAX), Punisher War Journal, New X-Men, 52, Punisher Presents: Barracuda, Ultimate Power, X-Factor, Incredible Hulk, X-23, Wolverine Origins, Dark Tower: Gunslinger is Born, Shazam: The Monster Society of Evil, and Justice League of America. There's probably more, but that's enough for now...

I also like Dark Tower, Ghost Rider, Marvel Zombies/AoD, FN Spiderman(Peter David has crafted a suspenseful yarn) and Wolverine Origins. There may be more coming up depending on completed arcs.

For me they have been:

She-Hulk
Anita Blake
Superman
Action Comics
52
Civil War on and off
Grimm Fairy Tales
Ghost Rider
Supergirl and the Legion of Super-heroes better than I did the old Superboy & The Legion of Super-heroes!
Jack of Fables or I have been but I'm not too sure now!
Lone Ranger
Conan on and off
Wonder Woman ~ and your right Hoss, it did get off to a shaky start!
Incredible Hulk, just started this one back up!

And all this from someone who hasn't been in the comic scenes since the 80's. It's all ya'll fault!

I noticed that you just started the Hulk books. It's best if you get the TPB of Planet Hulk before you get the World War Hulk series along with the regular Hulk series. That way you won't get "lost" in the story.

BTW.. the TPB should be out soon.

I know and I have it ordered! So as soon as I get it I'll be reading it. ;)

The Hulk has always been a favorite but I hate when they make the Hulk DUMB. That's the reason I quit reading it years ago. And I did know about the "Planet Hulk" until ya'll started talking about it and I started reading about it.

I finally got around to reading Sasquatch from Viper Comics (http://www.vipercomics.com). This is definately a great read. There are 250 pages of great stories featuring, you guessed it, Sasquatch. There is a wide range of stories from comical and lighthearted to horror/gore stories. It's kinda pricey at $24.95, but it was worth every penny. This is definately a great read for '07!

With respect to Sasquatch ... Alex Ness of the STL Forum has a story in there :).

I would recommend the first TPB from DC's Minx imprint The Plain Janes. Very good read.

It has been a few months since I added my good reads. Here's my update on the list.

Dark Tower - The Gunsliger is Born , Awesome art and dialogue
Brave and the Bold - I just picked up #1-3, it really is neat having someone different in each issue and take turns in the next issue.

Countdown - I'm trying to understand the New DC Universe. The Dan Jurgens back-up stories is a good way to catch up on it. Wait...has that slogan been used before? The New DC Universe(s)?

Illuminati - 3 issues out and it's gotten me by the fish hooks.

WWH - Nuff said!

ASM - PP in a rage like never before.

Marvel Zombies - Dead Days - Good, fun, juicy horror.

The Ultimates 2 - The last issue is a blast.
