Who's hyped up to see the movie as it bears down Friday May 26th? I am now that's closer.

While waiting patiently I will recite my mantra, "Halle Berry in black leather!"

I likes it when her eyes glow!

For the last time though, I heard on tv that she's hanging up her fightin' togs...don't know if she retired or got retired.?? :?

Word is, She's done with the series.
To tell the truth though, if they make more movies, I wouldn't mind a actress change.

I just seen the movie, and IT ROCKS! Everything works great considering the huge number of mutants involved in the movie. I think it's the best one of the three. 8)

Also for you Ghost Rider fans, there's a preview of Ghost Rider for the movie before X3.From the looks of the trailer, it really is DAMN good. I thought it would suck but it really is GOOD!

Saw the movie this weekend and I agree it was pretty good. They touch on a whole lot fo differenct characters. The only thing I didn't like about it is they had a subplot with Dark Phoenix that felt out of place. Besides that I would really recommend it.

you guys stayed till the very end right???????

I did. It was pretty interesting. I didn't know what was going on till my girlfriend leans over and says where we had seen the woman previously.

I hope that last line was vague enough. We should really get a spoiler block thing where the back ground appears in black.

What was at the end of the movie? I read it was an extra scene....but what about?

marvelguy

Hmmm......that would be telling. However, the theater I went to decided to move it up to right after the end just before the credits started so then it appears that it has "left open" for another movie.

Last I checked, if the movie does very well box office-wise, they will give the Wolverine movie a go. Hugh Jackman is slated to star.

Well I would say it went pretty well thus far. So that should be good news for a Woleverine movie. Hugh Jackman is a badass as Woleverine.

With a final weekend tally of  $122,861,157  , I think it's safe to say we will be seeing the mutants again in another X-movie.

Halle Berry back in the black leather outfit? Circle the calendar and let the popcorn be popped!

Constatine II not so much!

I haven't see the new movie, I am not excited about it because I have not been really impressed so far. I will say that I have fealt, since the first movie, that Halle is the worst casted part of all. Remember the elevator scene from the first one, perfect pose for being a cheap magicians assistant on a wire, and no mention of her claustrophobia? She, as an actress, just doesn't seem to be into it. Her Storm is weak. Also, no Danger room? And they are all adults, not confused teenagers, and they are not really a group of people who are thrust together and tryng to work as a team. I can't explain it properly maybe, but I just don't think the movies are working. Too much high tech, too much $ and not enough gritty hardcore. They seem to have it made once in the school and aren't struggling enough.

I liked the movie and plan to see it again. I'm also looking forward to the Ghost Rider movie in February too. That was a nice preview.

My only disappointment was that my theater didn't show the Superman trailer. :(

I saw X3 on Friday and I was BLOWN AWAY! It is by far the best of the three movies. I think the directorial change from Singer to Rattner made a huge improvement, with Rattner leaning towards ACTION and EMOTION - in other words, more of what we fanboys and fangirls were looking for.

Kelsey Grammer was nowhere near as distracting as the Beast as I thought he would be. Without giving anything away, I thought Cyclops' role in this movie was perfect.

*****Minor spoilers below:

Things I loved:

Kitty
Danger Room!
"I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!!"
Seeing Rebecca Romijn without the make-up
Fastball Special
Varied use of Magneto's powers
Homages to various covers
Storm's increased role and better writing for her character
Cyclops' minimized role
Iceman's ever-so-brief comic book look
Wolverine's super-quick healing
The surprise at the very end of the credits. Shades of Star Wars, there.

Things that could have been better:

Colossus' accent - c'mon, is it really hard to say a few words with a Russian accent?
Angel's casting - OK, it doesn't help that the actor played a wimpy bisexual in Six Feet Under, but maybe few enough people watched that show to be distracted by it.

And dammit, I wanted more Nightcrawler and Siryn!

Severe editing error: Sudden change from day to night before climactic battle. Obviously it was better to show Magneto's awesome feat in daylight and the ensuing battle at night, but there was no attempt at segue.

Things that people have been bitching about but that don't really matter:

The (Dark) Phoenix thing. That was a good way to introduce it without all of the back story. We didn't need the whole "cosmic force" backdrop in order for the story to work. I was glad to see the Phoenix included in the movie.

Magneto. For me, Mags never gets old, and Ian McKellen is such a fantastic actor. He delivers every time.

This movie came in at a beautiful VF/NM 9.0!!

Hey Gall, you said homages to various covers. Which covers are you talking about? I didn't even noticed that until you mentioned it. Come on, tell us here, the movie's been out a month and the execs are rolling in the dough already. I'd see it again maybe next week after Supes Return to get that DC jinx out of me.

In retrospect this might be my favorite of the three X movies.
