You've never heard of DOB? Like dob the carpet with a rag? You don't rub the stain into the carpet, you dob it with a rag by gently stroking up and down to asorb the stain without smearing it. I didn't check dictionary.com because that's a common word for us here.

Didn't CG say something about "furren" currencies?
I did.
Furren currencies and their deriviations are NOT allowed in the Change One Letter Game unless there is a non-currency related alternate definition.
Why? Very simple. It has been decreed that all furren currencies are henceforth outlawed as being Un-Amurican. All furren currencies circulating or invested in the U.S. are now to be redirected to the coffers of the NSA.
However, as Jaeldubyoo posted an appropriate followup anyway, the Game may proceed uninterupted.

Well folks, we have a dilemma. And, according to the God-Allmighty Rules, a winner.
According to the rules, a follow-up word must be posted within 24 hours of the last word or it's Game over.
Marvelguy posted "AYE" 24 hours and twelve minutes before Linda's followup of "PYE".
This is so close as to be controversial, and granted, I have side-stepped many of the other Rules of the Game (as refined by Hoss), and it was the 4th of July Holiday, so here's what I'll do.
I'll leave it up to you. Chime in and voice your opinion on whether this win (according to the Rules) should stand.
Marvelguy gets a much weightier voice in the final decision as the apparent winner.
I will make the final decision based on the input of the players.
You must speak up within the next 24 hours to have a voice in the decision.
Good luck MArvelguy, and congratulations, whatever is decided.

UNITED NATIONS, July 5, 2006 (Reuters):
ComicsCorral Members pressed ahead with a U.N. Security Council resolution demanding that C.G. curb his ambitions for a new Non-Three-Letter Game and said they would push for targeted sanctions if he does not.
But Marvelguy, who has veto power in the council, on Wednesday made clear he would not support any sanctions but indicated he could back an initial resolution if it were modified. The Marvelguy draft did not impose punitive measures.
In Texas, Hoss, whose ambiguity helped draft the Rules, said he still hoped for a diplomatic resolution but did not spell out new steps or guidelines on a final decision.
"We are in total agreement saying that under no circumstances must C.G. be allowed to come into possession of nuclear weapons," Hoss said.
Still, there have been calls in Georgia and in the United States Congress for the Hoss administration to engage in direct talks with C.G. on his nuclear programs, which other Corral officials so far have rejected.
C.G. maintains that his activities are legal and peaceful. He recently accelerated his pace of uranium enrichment but still remains far below levels needed to make an atomic bomb, opting instead to make the uranium into a glow-in-the-dark milkshake.
One key provision in the legally binding resolution regarding the disputed Three Letter Change One Letter Game demands that C.G. suspend enrichment-related and milkshake activities, including research and development as well as construction of a heavy-water nuclear water park.
Meanwhile, the world waits for the final decision.

He is currantly under incastigation by the NSA and will not be able to render the final dicesion on this, the longest running, and purhaps the most scurilous Change One Letter Game only.
In the inerest of fairness, and cizility, I have come to a decision.

Lahk I said, I have came to a decisin.
It is a good decisin.
A fair decision and a nice decision that will ensure that this endlussly tedious and boring AGme comes to an abrupted and contigued ending before I fall asleepe right here at my desk.
Therefored and hencewith, I am delaring a winner in this endless AGme.
Marvelguy takes the pot.
Well, not all of the pot, that wouldn't be fair.
I have to hold on to some of my stash...
So cungratulutions Marvelguy!
$256.93 in Coral Cash is wingin' your way!!!
But ah am a generoos President and a hublled one, so given that this aprubt ending came on the Forth of July (A Natural Holliday, and a very putriotic one at that), I will also be digesting $10.00 in Coral Cash to all participants in this Game!
Congutalations and thank y'all for your vurias and sumbry contribations.
I will now be contacting the Ambusadoor from Texas, as he will be concocting the next Round in this highly sycratic (betcha though I couldn't spell that one!) and dumbfounding Game!
Good luck, Good Bless,, and Good Bless Ameruca!

Howdy, your honor, CG. I must say that is an awesome speech you have givenin my honor and other fellow Corralites here. I didn't think I was gonna win it by a longshot. This is my first time I've ever won the word game. That's a lot of cash here, I wonder what to get? The Hulk #200 that will be auctioned here or wherever it will be at? I might be able to donate some since there's a tax on these gifts here.
Great game guys!!! Let's get another one going.

I must admit, the rules were bent and mangled quite a bit in this Game. I mean, if I had penalized each and every double (or quadruple) post or unacceptable word, Rowand would probably be filing for Chapter 11 bancruptcy instead of being the A.W.O.L. July Member of the Month!
But the time limit on posts is truly key to the Game. So whether or not you intended to catch people napping, the tactic worked and worked well on a Game that otherwise could have stretched into my political lampoon of the next President...
Anyway, it was a Game well played by all parties and congratulations again.
I look forward to joining the ranks of the players again next time. I haven't played for a month and a half and I'm suffering extreme withdrawl symptons including shortness of adverbs, furren word flatuance and an uncontrolable craving to make the dictionary.com website my homepage.
Congratulations again Marvelguy!
It's a shame this round ended so quickly! I'm going to take on the next round starting very soon. I'm warning in advance that I can only moderate in the evenings so please be patient if there are disputes. Not to mention that I will moderate with an iron fist. I will be fair, but firm. I'll punish the guilty and reward the innocent. All others will be fed to taco eating elks.
I'M BACK BABY!
