This might explain some things.....

So is it really cancelled? Now I'm hearing that issue 28 is due next week!
If it is cancelled, why then did our comic guy receive "1" copy of Walking Dead #28.
Even better, HE SOLD IT TO HEATHER since she was his number one zombie fan! So either we got it a week early or we have the only copy in our town? This single issue was mixed in with the "free" comics that Image sends in to the retailers to give away.
I wish we could find out more certain details about this title!

Well, I just picked up the 1st trade in the series and was suitably impressed. Kirkman did a good job with this title.
However, my LCS guy also said that they weren't allowing him to order #30. I have no idea what is going on, but doesn't that just figger?

OMG!!!!! This better not be cancelled. WTF would they be thinking, the only on-going series I collect. Lets hope they're just changing publishers.

What with Robert Kirkman working at Marvel now, it seems that maybe, just maybe he'll bring the book over at ICON, an imprint of Marvel. Bendis got Powers, JMS got some book there, Mack got Kabuki. ICON is slowing gaining strength as creators come over there.
Another set of news about Marvel, Ed McGuiness of Superman/Batman fame, has signed with Marvel to work on a project with Jeph Loeb. J. Scott Campbell signed as well. I guess they like latecomers, huh?
One other thing, Ed's rendition of Thor looks good, me thinks that he works on Thor in the future? I hope so.

All I will say is "WOW"!!
Issue #28 rocked!!
Anyone who is not reading this series needs to get the TPB's and get started now!

I got the TPB's recently, and I couldn't put them down. Read all four in a couple of days! I need to find issues 26 and 27 before I can catch up. This a great series!

I've been with this book since day 1. It's been at the top of my reading pile and I've been recommending it to everyone ever since.
Kirkman has had a little trouble keeping on schedule, but he seems to be writing about 100 books a month now, working for Marvel, Etc. I'd rather he put this book out a little late and not rush it.
This book actually reads BETTER in the trades. I'm now shopping for the hard cover Omnibus of 1 - 24 just to read it as a complete book.

I dropped it from my pull list. Wasn't my kind of comic....

Hey chaos.
It just didn't impress me at all. A zombie book with very little zombie action? No thanks. Not too mention it reads like a soap opera. Just not my kind of comic. I did read the trades and it seemed to flow much better, so if i ever get the urge (which is highly doubtful), I'll pick up the trades.
