Here are a few guidelines for this area.

1) All sellers need to have limit themselves to one post for their advertising/notices. If your post falls off the first page, then you may post a new thread if you have a new advertisement.

2) Please do not "copy and paste" your ads from other boards, websites, etc. Often this leaves broken bb and html code which makes your posts look terrible and often unreadable.

3) Make sure you keep your ads in the Sellers area. Try to avoid advertising in the other boards. Remember, you can make a sig link to your auctions/store. PM if you need help setting one up!

4) I'm not trying to be mean about this, but it needs to be fair for all sellers and easy on the eyes of our readers.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Just a reminder, Sellers should keep all their ads limited to one post as per rule #1!

One thread that's updated with replys is OK though, right?

Yes, that's fine, btd!

Remember to limit your ads to just one thread.

This helps keep all sellers on an even playing field.

If your ad falls off the first page, you can feel free to create a new thread.

Or just hunt your old post up and post to it to make it come to the top of the first page!

Sellers: Please take a moment to review the rules for this section of forum before making a new post! :)

D'Ohh!! Just seen this post for the first time. The Sticky posts get all segregated way up there...

I am a repeat offender (and am not alone). There may not be enough unique sellers to fill a page.

Is there any way you could enable self-deletion of posts for this area of the boards? Or allow us to edit our OP titles? I'd happily police up my old threads via deletion or reuse them by changing their titles, but am not currently able to perform either of these actions.

Never mind. Found it. Can edit titles via GO ADVANCED.

Hmmm... While I can seem to edit the title from within the post, and the new title is visible within the post itself, the old title is still displayed in the forum view.

Illuminated, what are you trying to update? It's possible that whatever you're attempting is a moderator function only.

I'm sorry for my actions for this wrong doing..:(

I'd never seen this post....

And from this date forward I'll use the same thread to post everything I have to sell.

Sorry Hoss if I made a mess of the sellers forum here..#bash2#

I wouldn't sweat it too much either of you, I'm sure it wasn't done intentionally. The rule, if I remember correctly, was implemented to discourage posters from filling up the forums with thread after thread of nothing but their stuff for sale at the expense of everyone else. You haven't done that, and you've made an attempt to correct the error, so all is well. :D

I was trying to edit title. Doesn't seem to work.
May resort to having a generic thread "illuminated auctions" and keeping it updated or something. I have so many amazing auctions (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=4&campid=5335809863&toolid=10001&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%2F_W0QQsassZillu minated) that it's hard to keep them under wraps. ;)

If we could remove our own threads in this area of the board, that'd be awesome.
