A bone to pick with Hoss....

Now I love Hoss, in the way that heterosexual guys love other heterosexual guys.. (you are hetero aren't you Hoss?) but I think that it's silly to say that those who contribute to our little community here even in off topic discussions don't deserve to earn karm - um..I mean corral dollars.

I promise I won't even post in that section cause I don't care that much, but I think you are shafting valueable members of the community and if we lose even one person like Ms. Red Sun (who hasn't appeared since her last post in the welcome to the new corral) because of this policy I think it's short sighted.


I'd agree that the game section shouldn't earn karma-um... corral dollars, except for wining but why alienate people who love comics but don't have a lot to say about them.

I think the policy should be everyone earns or no one earns.. (personally I like the no one earns without merit in contests or for posts or something.)

I also think someone should ask MRS to come back.

In case you didn't know....Hoss made it so that the off-topic areas get CorralCash. Now only the Game section doesn't get CC since you can win CC there anyway.

I think that mrsredsun said she was "insulted" by a comment made by a member which was the main reason why she wasn't going to post any more but that the no CC in off-topic areas just reinforced her decision.

A couple of us did ask mrsredsun to stay and even gave her our karma to show her our appreciation of her membership. Hoss also addressed her post personally hoping she would stay. One can only do so much I guess.

My Opinion.....Life is way to short to hold a grudge over something as silly as a perceived "insult" or "CorralCash" on a discussion internet board.

mrsredsun is totally welcome here at the Corral but at this point she will come back and post....or not. Now the ball is in her court and she must decide what she wants to do.....stay "insulted" or come back and have some fun!

Hoss has made a great community here for all of us to talk/discuss/play in.

How much we decide to participate (or not) is ultimately up to us......

Im here and NOT holding a GRUDGE over a percieved "INSULT" and dont think of my self as being that PETTY. I still log on from time to time and visit often but no time to post as of late or a topic to post on. I appreciated the people who asked me to stay and for the CC which was not needed but still appreciated very much. I have and always will be greatfull and appreciative for the support Ive recieved concerning my 2 surgeries. so incase Ive left anyone out or not said it enough, THANK YOU for your SUPPORT and PRAYERS in all forms.

When I said something in the suggestion box, he posted right after me with "why is the avatar bax so big, and also about scrolling problemsin another" But as soon as I took my avatar out it was smaller. (3 pg suggestion box) He just came across rude to me. I dont know wether or not it was directed at me, just really seemed like it. He has about 4 other topics started in discussion box that seem to be very close to off-topic.

Since you hadn't posted since then I thought you still must be pissed at Sillyship or at the CoralCash situation.

Evil Parsnip must have thought so too with this "Bone to pick with Hoss" thread he started.

My post was meant to address the concerns stated by EP and my view of the stituation.

Let me dissect a few points in EP's Original Post.

Which I had pointed out that many of us had already done that. We really like mrsredsun and some of us gave our CC to her and encouraged her to keep posting. I also pointed out you can't make someone post.....they have to decide on their own it is something they want to do.

So to sum things up.....mrsredsun, glad to know you hold no "grudges" and you are no long pissed at anyone here at the Corral.

Hoss has not been around much lately due to dealing with a friend in need on a daily basis.

So in case you have felt like the inmates were running the asylum lately, you felt right.

I have done my very best to be humble and contrite and not stage another armed coup attempt.

You may have noticed the "When Charlton Comics Ruled the Earth" thingy on the masthead. That was NOT my doing! I swear!

Anyway, thanks to all of you for being patient regarding the planned changes to the New Corral, I know that Hoss looks forward to making the aforementioned changes and much more when things are back on a more even keel for him.

In the meantime, Habib, Chaos and I will do our best not to run the place into the ground.

I was never really gone, just had lost interest. There hadnt been many topics to post on so just been lurking around a bit. I didnt mean to keep thins ongoing or to have anyone feel like they had to take my back, just was a little irriated for a but, we can just blame it hormones. Us woman can be oody sometimes and I am not easily offended. So lets just get on with it.

I did appreciate cc, but it really wasnt nessasary.

Besides guys, she was going into surgery! This takes a toll on one all by itself. I can only hope that some stupid remark that I made wasn't the primal cause of the problem.

Sorry Red sun, I've been busy lately and missed all of this stuff. I in no way what so ever intended to insult you or anyone else, ever, on this site. This is the only place I have ever posted besides the ebay comic discussion place, IMDB.com and my own personal LJ, and I am a bit new to all of this still. This is the first time I have ever been accused of being rude, and although it may be true that I was rude, it was completely unintentional and not aimed at anyone. I'm just glad I checked in and happened to see this, so that we can get this resolved. As far as my posts go, they may be "off topic" but it's what I feel like posting at the time. I have been a comic lover forever, but as anyone who watches my posts knows, with art school and two jobs, I never feel that I have the luxury of spending time idley reading comics. I always have text books or books on welding or photography etc. to read. So my posts are not comic related most of the time unless they have to do with buying or selling. One day, I will have more time to read comics and then I will post about them here. Unless y'all (notice I did say y'all) kick me out.
