Mattel issues new massive China toy recall

after visiting China and seeing what passes for quality control I try real hard to avoid buying anything made in China. Its impossible to do but I have cut down on a lot of really crap products - especially the handtools which tend to be very shoddily made and are often dangerous.

Lead paint. You'd think that would have been outlawed completely by now. It really makes me want to look a bit closer at everything my baby girl is chewing on daily...

I don't have any kids but when I buy toys for my Nieces and Nephews I always check them out along with only buying stuff for their age group! But there is only so much you can do if the items you are looking at don't have any warnings on them.
