I was watching the tv show "Different Strokes" the other day...yah, I watch different strokes..big whup...wanta fight about it??....Anyways, they had an episode where Arnold (Gary Coleman) had to steal something from the corner store in order to join a gang and he stole a comic book. Now normally from my experiance on tv when they show a comic book it's not usually a real book or it's not what they say it is, but in this case the book in question was an actual book (at least it looked real from what we could see). The book you ask...was none other than.....Amazing Spiderman 14, the first appearence of the Green Goblin. Arnold stole it cause he thought it was a 12 cent comic worth only..well..12 cents. They did catch him but to his suprise was charged with grand larceny (theft over 250 dollars). They said it was a collectors item and it was worth 400 dollars. I watched the ending and found out the show was filmed in 1981 so at the time that was a fair value for the book (I guess). I loved the episode because it wasn't just an everyday comic and because I own that comic book and know how valuable it is. Here's my copy.

My best friend Dennis bought it for me for my birthday about 5 years ago. Thought everyone would like to hear about this episode.
