it's like sake with a real kick... delicous stuff and the cheapest drunk I think I've ever experienced...

yummy too. I gotta find this back home when I return. (the japanese version isn't very good unless you mix it).

When in China, be sure to go to Guangzhou (Canton). That's just a hop, skip and a jump from Hong Kong, little more than an hour on the train. They say the food there is the best in China. They have a saying there that they will eat anything that flies in the air or moves on land except airplanes and tanks. Trust me, they will eat just about anything. I've eaten all kinds of insects, worms, scorpions, rats, dog, snakes (the gall bladder is especially prized) and even pangolin (a spiny anteater). It helps to know a local who can take you to the out-of-the-way places that serve such things.

EVIL PARSNIP UPDATE!

I received a very cryptic email from the Evil Doc this weekend.

Apparently, he and his wife are in China right now. Details are sketchy, but apparently, Chinese security was monitoring his laptop computer traffic , found links to us here at the Corral, and has censored and blocked all communications between the Chinese mainland and this site.

I will be contacting the UN Ambassador and the Chinese Ambassador to see if this diplomatic misunderstanding can be resolved.

Details forthcoming.
