Hi, I just joined the list and wanted to say hello. I've been collecting comics for most of my live (over 25 years at least) and still enjoy them. Mostly I stick to the titles from my childhood during the 1970s and 80s but I'll pick up the newer titles that look interesting. Original comics artwork is another interest of mine, don't have the funds to do much buying these days but I'll gladly share what I've got.

It's always been my plan to open a comic store someday. I've been buying and selling on ebay for almost 8 years and mostly it's been fun but lately the fun isn't there anymore. So, I opened a comic store on ecrater and set up my domain name to point to it

http://www.ebcomix.com

So far I've got over 500 books listed, I try to add some everyday. I actually burned out my old scanner and had to buy a new one! My goal is 10,000 which will take a while but I'll keep at it. Stop by if you're looking for something. I'm trying to raise the $$ to open a real Local Comics Store! I'm glad to see there's an active buy and sell community here. If you have a want list feel free to send it over and I'll see what I've got.

I post regularly on the Comic art list, CGC forums and now the Comics Corrral so there's always something to do!

Sorry this is so long winded,
Dave Hennen

Hi Dave, and welcome.

I seem to remember you... did I send you a program from the San Diego convention a couple years ago? I know I sent one to Linda.

Couldn't have done that this year; the convention was sold out, and I couldn't grab extra books.

So instead of going to the convention on Friday, I took the scenic route home, stopped by the Baronna Valley casino the wilds of northern San Diego County and hit a big enough jackpot on a slot machine to buy the 42" LCD HDTV which will soon be delivered.

I love comocs.

Yup, that was me. Thanks for remembering, it was two years ago. The one with the Kirby cover. Congrats on your windfall!

Actually I will buy some comics, but I've been thinking about a big-screen TV for some time. I figured I'd better spend the money quickly before I did something foolish with it like pay bills or put it in an IRA.

Welcome, Dave. I'll check out your store, but I'm in a bit of a buying lull. In between jobs. The new one starts in 2 weeks, so then I'll be in the market.
