Buy These Rare Comics! They're Overstock!

Mile High Comics Special Overstock Bargains

I've been getting E-Mails from our friends at Mile High with the above headline. Something seems funny here. Maybe I'm not the typical comic buyer/collector, but I buy comics because 1) They're good reading and fun, and 2) Because there's at least an off chance that someday they may carry a premium value over what I paid. If I just wanted good reading, I'd use the library. Does it make any sense to advertise to comic collectors that the books you want to sell them are "Overstock"?

I honestly don't mind receiving advertisments regarding comics sales once in a while. The words "overstock" don't bother me because I know how many books there are out there but I HATE the words "rare and mint" used to describe what we obviously would check ourselves only to find they ain't so rare or mint. And in just my opinion, Mile High charges way too much for most of their stuff and Chuck sounds very bossy in his ebay and website ads. I would say something more along the lines of..."my idiot partner left the comic making machine on last night so we will be having a bit of a sale"! LoL!

Wow. I hate it when I overstock rare comics. Everyone knows you can't sell rare comics, even if you put them on sale, and every day I get calls from people trying to force me to take them. Why just the other day, this guy was trying to give me 30 copies of MiracleMan #15 and $50. The nerve! Poor Chuck has a very rough lot in life.

Tell me about it, I've got about 5 boxes of Action Comics #1, 3 boxes of Detective Comics #27, and about 7 boxes of Marvel/Timely comics with full runs of Captain America Comics and Young Allies all in Mint condition, I can't seem to sell one of em.
