What's with all the quotes within quotes within quotes on some threads? This is the same tactic used on the CGC board that drives me absolutely bonkers and keeps me away from that board.

Hey, we get it, you're responding to the message before yours, it's not necessary to quote every single post that occured prior to your own, we'll figure it out somehow!

Thanks for listening.

I see your point. A lot of the time, it's not necessary. I'm guilty of this on occasions, but usually I try to quote only the portion of the post that I'm responding to so as to not confuse the issue with other things mentioned in the post. Feel free to quote me.

Yeah, I'm guilty! At least I try not to create a smilie quotathon. I never realized that it was so bothersome. At least I'm not like Charlton Guy and quoting myself!

'tain't funny MacGee!

Actually I find it amusing!

Tried this post both as a quote and as plain text (and no referent included at all) This worked best. I will use it when I need the set up to complete the joke rather than let my reader get lost. Hope you can tolerate that.

A single quote is often helpful when clarity is desired. Anything more than that is generally bothersome. It is probably the single biggest reason why I've had very little interest in posting on the CGC boards (cutesy friggin sigs being the second biggest).

Having recently gotten my mind right regarding CGC, I have to say that ANYTHING that makes ANYTHING more CGC-like is aces with me!

I #banana1# CGC!

Why, did Steve Borock finally agree that the Eastern File copies are real?

I just hate when someone feels the need to QUOTE an entire previous post when they only need to quote a specific part. All it does is fill the screen.

Sig pictures are always way too big. I like the ones on the left side of the screen, those are cool. It's those run on sigs at the bottom of posts that make me nuts.

I think we're doing OK here so far. It's just taking me a little time to get used to the various features of the site.

KWM!

Welcome back!

What is my one and only hardbound compilation of a Charlton Comic title?

Nature Boy?

Reptilicaus??

(& I'd even guess Hercules, but even a Charlton fan wouldn't sink THAT low...)

And bound volumes can't be CGCed, so they are WORTHLESS!!!

Now I am REALLY worried about you...

What happened? A religious experience? A car crash? Brain injury?

I know...it all started with that 9.4 First Appearance of H.E.R.B.I.E. the Robot, right? It's all my fault...

Well, at least it's you (rest assured folks).

And welcome (back) to the New Corral!

I have long suspected that the two were associated in some way. Despite their differences on the subject of CGC, their posting styles are quite similar in some ways.

Sincerely,
Secret...I mean, capt....er, bn....um.....who am I again? :?
