OK, I have this in the Sci Fi Weekly for this week but I thought I would also start a thread about the JLA move.

I'm not too sure about these ladies for Wonder Woman! What do ya'll think?

Biel A Wonder In JLA?

Jessica Biel (Next) is in talks to play Wonder Woman in Warner Brothers' upcoming superhero film Justice League of America, Variety reported.

The potential deal marks the first piece of casting news to emerge from the DC Comics-based ensemble project, which is expected to feature Superman, Batman, the Flash and Aquaman, in addition to Wonder Woman, the trade paper reported. George Miller will direct, it was announced last week.

Warner is fast-tracking JLA as a project before any potential strikes. Christian Bale and Brandon Routh, Warner's reigning Batman and Superman, are not expected to join the production.

Justice League was written by Kieran and Michele Mulroney. It could help ramp up a Wonder Woman spinoff, which has long been in development at the studio, with Joel Silver producing.

Moviehole.net (http://www.moviehole.net/news/20070924_from_lady_macbeth_to_diane_pri.html) reported a rumor that Australian actress Victoria Hill auditioned for the role of Wonder Woman in the proposed Justice League film to be helmed by fellow Aussie George Miller.

Rumor now is, Biel turned down the role.

I would pick an unknown lady but has that Amazon build and the hotness factor, too. It would have to be a Greek actress since they all have black hair.

I thought there was a Wonder Woman solo movie in the works?

A big team movie would require alot of payroll for any big name actors/actresses.
Most Hollywood "team movies" these days are having better luck on lower paid minor stars and shelling the bucks for the FX and script.
ie, Transformers, X-Men, FF and others.
I believe there was an article in EW recently about it.

At the moment, Warner Bros. thinks it's best to make the JLA movie first before a solo Wonder Woman and Flash movie is spinning out of it (thats if the movie is successful). They are trying their damnest best to get the movie made fast before the looming Hollywood strike next year, I get the feeling that if they rush it, the quality will suffer.
