I've been working on this series for a few years, and now have 22 of the 43 issues. None of the first 6 however. It's not bad, usually two adventure stories plus one cartoon of Ed and the Gang, featuring Froggy The Gremlin acting like a psychopath. The adventures had a lot of stories from India and also Native Indians, plus a run of Interplanetary Police by Crandall. Good reading, and fits my budget.

I only have one of those Buster Brown giveaways. I love the Reed Crandall art. If you have any duplicates, I'm definitely interested.

I do have one dupe, #36, in the ubiquitous VG condition. E-Mail me an address and I'll be glad to send it along for the cost of postage. The only unfortunate thing is the coloring job on the Crandall story, it's some of the worst I've ever seen (especially the blue hair).

I needed all three of them, so couldn't very well pass them up.

How about Poll Parrot Shoe Store Give-Aways? Are you interested in those?
I have two real beauties (from the early 50's) with the over-cover still intact and exceptionally clean. I understand that these are graded 90% based on the interior comic condition rather than the over-cover, is that right?
One of them is Mickey Mouse book and one is either a Roy Rogers or Lone Ranger book, I forget.
I picked them up a few years back in a local collection, and they were kept in beautiful condition. Sometimes a box in the back of someone's closet makes for the best storage I guess.
I'll have do dig them up and post you scans.

Sure, I'm interested. Those would be March of Comics, with the Poll Parrot outer cover. There was another seriesw of just Poll Parrot stories, I have one of those, something about a maniac.

A couple of very sweet books.

Malaprop: "Well C.G., those are some sweet looking books."
The Charlton Guy: "Thanks!"
Malaprop: "It turns out I don't have these two particular issues."
The Charlton Guy: "Oh, really?"
Malaprop: "They really do look sweet. Do you have a price in mind"?
The Charlton Guy: "Well, these two particular books are of great sentimental value to me. They are from my hometown shoestore. Where I used to buy my very own Poll Parrot Shit-kickers."
Malaprop: "So you don't want to sell them?"
The Charlton Guy: "I didn't say that. Hell, Christmas is coming and I have like eight gazillion relatives to buy presents for."
Malaprop: "C.G.! Are you a Christian? I never would have guessed!"
The Charlton Guy: "Well, not really. Though I must admit, that Jesus Guy is pretty darn cool. What with that Right Hand of God stuff and all. And don't forget about the loafers and fish food."
Malaprop: "We're getting off track here C.G.. Do you want to sell these books or not?"
The Charlton Guy: "Weeeeeelll...let me check my OCG and I'll get right back to you. I wouldn't want to give away the farmer's daughter."
Malaprop: "Oh...no...don't do that! C.G.! DON'T!"
The Charlton Guy: "What? Give away the farmer's daughter?"
Malaprop: "No! STAY AWAY FROM THAT OVERSTREET GUIDE! It's all B.S I tell ya! Don't believe a word!"
The Charlton Guy: "Calm down. I just want to check it out. Hold on a minute. Hang tight..."
Malaprop: "Oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no oh shit. Don't do it don't do it don't do it don't do it."
The Charlton Guy: "HOKEY SMOKES! # 74 Guides for $245 in NM-????"
Malaprop: "Oh shit..."
The Charlton Guy: "AWESOME! Now I can buy that carbunckle remover for Uncle Ed!"
Malaprop: "That is a highly unrealistic Guide price for some 1950's shoestore giveaway."
The Charlton Guy: "Dude! We're talkin' MICKEY MOUSE HERE! The most loveable rodent ever to grace the four cardinal directions!"
Malaprop: "It is a very sweet looking copy."
The Charlton Guy: "You bet your sweet bippy it is!"
Malaprop: "So come on C.G. what about a reasonable price. And what about the #76?"
The Charlton Guy: "Oh yeah! Good old Woody! Hang on..."
Malaprop: "Hanging..."
The Charlton Guy: "O.K. holster that thought...As for number #76...Good Old Woody...yeah...not as big a playah as that snooty little mouse but...hang on...#76? That's what I figured... a mere $70 in NM-. Woodpeckers don't stand a chance next to snooty mices...mouses...mice...whatever..."
Malaprop: "It's 'mice'".
The Charlton Guy: "Whatever."
Malaprop: "Come on C.G.! Make me an offer I can't refute!"
The Charlton Guy: "This will take some pondering...ponder ponder ponder ponder ponder...."
Malaprop:"Oh for crying out loud! How much do you want for these lousy books!"
The Charlton Guy: "Chill out dude. Let me break out my calculator. Hang on...So anyways, let's see...both books are solid VFs or better...#74 Guides for $118 in VF, #76 for $44...that's $118 plus $44 plus 87.75% New York State sales tax equals...: EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY SIX DOLLARS AND THIRTY TWO CENTS!
Malaprop: "You are a freakin' nut."
The Charlton Guy: "Yeah, but but in a savy businesslike freakin' nut kind of way. But let's do this...let's forget about the New York State sales tax (don't tell Eliot), I'll discount for the 'freakin' nut' factor, and we'll call it $70 for both books, bomb-proof Priority Mail shipping included.
Malaprop: "You're way out of line C.G.. Hell, they GAVE these books away back in 1951!"
The Charlton Guy: "Hmmm...you have a point there..."
Malaprop: "Damn straight I have a point! Who the hell do you think you are? Flipping giveaway books for 1/2 Guide price! You should be ashamed of yourself!"
The Charlton Guy: "I am. I really am. Hell, I only paid like five bucks a piece for these books. And you're right. They gave them away like groupies at a Led Zeppelin concert."
Malaprop: "I like Led Zeppelin."
The Charlton Guy: "Me too. They rock. Especially that 'Onion Song' thingy. I really like onions."
Malaprop: "So are you ready to revise your ridiculously high offer?"
The Charlton Guy: "No. Not until I hear some feedback from my fellow Corral Members. COME ON FOLKS! TELL ME! Is this $70 offer for two impossible to find 1951 Shoe Store Gems way out of line? Or should Malaprop be begging me to raise the price? PLEASE ADVISE!"
Malaprop: "Charlton Guy? I hate you."
The Charlton Guy: "Yeah, that's what they all say. But you'll love me when the books arrive."
Malaprop: "Get a life you wack job."
The Charlton Guy: "Is that a no?"
Malaprop: "You bet your sweet bippy it is! You are WAY out of line!
The Charlton Guy: " I will leave it to my fellow Corral Members to decide whether this is a good offer or an out of line offer."
Malaprop: "Great. Drag the whole Corral into this funked up transaction."
The Charlton Guy: "Hey, it's just family. I trust their judgement."
Malaprop: "They really are sweet looking books."
The Charlton Guy: "You bet your sweet bippy." :D

Hilarious. And I really did say at least half of those things, at least in the privacy of my own thoughts. Seriously, I just found out the company I just started working for was sold this week to a $2 B conglomerate. If I'm still employed in a week or so we'll talk again. Or maybe we should run a poll on this issue?

My pleasure JLW. I ended up with a number of duplicates last year when I was on a real buying frenzy and not keeping my records up to date fast enough.

I bought a box of comics at a yard sale on July 4, and it included the below four books. The cover on #31 is detached, but the other three are solid books in the VG range. These are the only Busters I own, so I was pretty pleased with the pickups. Real purty comics!
