It has been a great birthday and an awesome comic purchasing day for me!

Went around to several stores today and came back home with around a long box full of back issues.

Here were some of my "birthday" deals....

Best deal by far was at my LCS. He had a guy come in with around 75 misc comics from the 50's & early 60's. He only deals in new comics so he sold 'em to me for $75. Mostly a lot of Dell, Harvey and such but had a few Marvel/Atlas westerns (Rawhide Kid #18 - Jack Kirby art was one!) and a few DC's (a decent Flash #116, low grade Our Army at War #82 - 2nd Rock!, low grade Superman Annual #1). The best one of the whole bunch was a Harvey (a G/G+ Richie Rich #1 !!)

Went to a few other places and found around 50 Sonic the Hedgehog's for 50 cents each. For some reason I have people asking about this title at shows all of the time!

One store had a sale going on so I looked through the $1 spinner rack they had just filled and I got around 50 SA & BA. Some great deals here!

That same store had my favorite purchase of the day. I got an L.B. Cole Shocking Mystery Cases #51 for $5. Awesome cover & price!

And to top it all off got the complete DVD series of Monty Python's Flying Circus for just over $50 at one of our half-price book stores!

Oh....Happy Day!!

However, my best present of the day was my 9 year old daughter's plaque she made with the "I Love my Dad" on it.

It just doesn't get any better than that folks!
