We've seen, on a couple occasions, Superman lay the smack down on the old "Hulk Smash!", low iq version of the Hulk. Biig Green was always at a disadvantage because, by the time he got mad enough to realize his unbelievable strength, Sup's had already outsmarted him.#superman#
It's a new era for the Hulk. Having his new home and the woman he loved senselessly destroyed has opened up whole new levels of rage for the more intelligent version of the Hulk we see now.#hulk#
I want a rematch. I think the Hulk in his present incarnation would make Doomsday look like a pushover.#nunchuck#
Wadda ya think? Old versions are disqualified. Today's Hulk vs today's Superman. Who would win?

Superman would eventually prevail, but only after receiving a whooping from Hulk. Supes would hold back initially as he is a rational being, Hulk would be in a rage, therefore irrational. Superman would try to defeat the Hulk first with reasoning, then with punches(which of course would only make Hulk more angry and irrational)
Eventually, Supes would realize that Hulk cannot be reasoned with and drop kick Hulk into the Sun. Poof!

Hmm...
I might have agreed with you before I read the Planet Hulk storyline. Now, though, I would hardly consider Hulk irrational. A little impulsive, maybe, but otherwise he seems rather calculating, even when enraged.

Hmm.....this is a toughie. An enraged Hulk after the Planet Hulk storyline vs. a Superman with smarts. I think that whenever Supes got the Hulk in a position to lose, he gets madder and madder. Hulk will fight back. There is no bounds to Hulk's strength due to rage. Supes can get more power from the sun but is it limited? The fight will go on and on 'til infinity. The weakness is in Supes limited powers. I say the Hulk wins by not giving up.

Can Hulk survive the vacuum of space and a trip into ol' Sol? I think not. Buh bye Hulk.#hello#

Actually, Hulk can survive the vacuum of space, and for quite some time. Probably not the sun, but would the new, smarter Hulk let Superman throw him like that? Even for Superman, a throw like that would require a wind-up, giving Hulk a chance to turn the tables. If he did, that would be it for old Supe's, since he would use a lethal attack as a last resort.

actually... I think that the battle could end in only two ways. One Supes just keeps frying and dehydrating the Hulk with heat vision until the Hulk becomes so dehydrated that he lapses into unconciousness, or Supes surrenders because the battle would becomes so fierce that they would shatter the earth's mantle and everyone on earth would perish. If that happened of course Supes wins.. cause Hulk would eventually perish in the vacuum of space.

Hmm. Interesting theory. I know Hulk is extremely resistant to extremes of temperature. How hot does Supes vision get? I know that it drains his solar energy pretty fast, so it would have to be hot enough to take Hulk out quickly. Anyway, 10 imagi-points for originality.
Can Superman survive indefenitely in space? I know Hulk stayed out long enough to smash an earth sized meteor, but I'm not sure what the limit would be.

Hulk has survived nuclear blasts before. The blast can get very, very hot. That theory is out of the window.
