A buyer of alot of my Avengers comics has just been made a "Not a registered user". This was after I sent out the invoice but haven't gotten the payment yet.

I know better than to ship anything out without payment but I was wondering if the buyer does send me payment (I got an email saying that payment would be sent by Money Order) should I ship him his comics or should I just send the MO back and relist/get my FVFs back?

What would ya'll do?

Linda

P.S. Hi Hoss, we need a ebay section?

If you get a money order from him I'd send the books. He has a high feedback rating (1722 and 5307 total) at 99.8% positive. Something weird must have happened for him to get NARU'd.

Could be a seller who didn't pay their monthly fees.

If you get a good money order, you should ship the books.

If they have been around for a while, they'll likely get their account reinstated soon.

A money order in the hand is worth more than a refunded FVF in the bush...um, huh? I'd send the books if he sends the money. :)

Thanks guys! We will wait and see!

How long should I give the buyer before I do anything?

Linda,
I could be wrong about this, but I believe you are covered by eBay in the event that the NARU doesn't pay you. So if I were you, I'd wait whatever time period you normally wait for payment. If the guy doesn't pay, you should be able to file a NPB and recover your FVF without the hassle of having to wait the extra time you normally would with a registered user. At least, that's how it used to work.

Have you tried calling him after using the get contact info process? That's what I would do, I've found that a simple phone call can really clear things up.

I'm sorry I haven't updated this but the buyer paid and I sent the books to him. He email me and let me know that he got the books and was very pleased with them. Last I looked he was still NARU. And I made sure to save the email from him.

If and when he ever gets reinstated I'll leave him feedback if it is before the 90 days are up!

Most people won't try and get a NARU restarted. They just start a new ID. All it really takes is another credit/debit card.
