Another Mid-Ohio-Con has come & gone and with great success once again!

Roger Price runs a great two day show in Columbus, OH every year! Too bad it is over Thanksgiving weekend which I think may hurt attendance some.

I didn't get a chance to get out to check out too many dealers as we were very, very busy at our booth for most of the weekend! Many times 15-20 people at once looking at our goods!

Seemed like around half of the vendors were selling things other than comics....toys, t-shirts, cards, & whatever.

Selling Highlights:

50 cent boxes were a great success this year (as always!). Moved around 15 or so of them.

Half guide SA Spider-Man & X-Men were very popular for the Marvel boxes as were SA/BA titles like FF, DD, and Cap.

Half guide DC's sold around a long box or so of various SA/BA titles.

Dell/Gold Key, Archie, Harveys (very popular) and other misc GA/SA/BA moved well too.

TPB & Hardback sales were much slower than last year but the selection was less too.

Movie Posters are usually good sellers for us but only a couple moved at this show.

A few Sci-Fi pulps sold as well.

We don't do much with newer comics but Deadpool was a great seller. Moved 25-30 issues from the half price boxes and a DD/Deapool annual off the back board for $20.

Buying Highlights:

Crime Does Not Pay #46 (crazy kidnapping cover!)

5 1950's Rex the Wonder Dog's by DC

Around a long box of nice 50 cent comics

50+ variant covers from various companies

All-in-all a great show! Can't wait for next year!

Was the Crime Does Not Pay #46 the cover with the thug luring the little girl with an ice cream cone and the rest of the gang is waiting in a parked car with rope? Not sure if that's the issue but Lev Gleason had great covers for that title in the earlier issues of the run. You could sit with just about any Gleason comic and, as a kid, it'd take almost an hour to read. 6-9 panels per page with lots of script & storytelling...unlike a lot of the junk you pay $2.99 for today that's an art gallery taking 5 minutes to knock off...
