When the news first broke about Blade having his new comic book series starting soon, I just brushed it off as a ploy to tie in the new TV series, until I read this.

Damn you, Marvel. You make me wanna buy all the second-string books that has top writers and artists working on them. Case in point, Moon Knight. Chaykin on Blade? Who would've thunk that? Only at Marvel they can do that.

I might pick up the first issue and check it out. If it's something I like, I'll keep it going.

Looks like a Kick @ss TV series and comic book!
Can't wait to check out both!
We'll I've read through issue 5...After a shaky start with the first issue, I have really been impressed with this book. The art is top notch and the stories have been fairy good.
I've never read any Blade comics before this so I don't know how it rates against the last series. There was another blade title in the 90's was it?
I like the quick one shot stories too.

There were also a number of Blade stories from Marv Wolfman in the Tomb of Dracula series starting with #10. They were ALL good but largely unappreciated. Goth sakes, what does a comic book character have to do to get noticed, have Denzel play him in the movies???

and they were often good. I thought the Hanibal King character was great.. not as crazy about the movies though they were fun.
Nuts! I noticed in this month's Marvel Previews that issue #12 is the last one! I thought that this series was pretty good... :(
