This is what I posted over on the ebay board:

I know about:

Platinum Age (1897-1937)
Golden Age (1938-1955)
Silver Age (1956-1969)
Bronze Age (1970-1979)
Modern Age (1980-Now)

Now these are the ages listed here on ebay but I have seen posting both here and other on the Corral about a few other ages like Copper & Tin.

My question is how do they fit into the ages?

Linda

P.S. Yes, I know about this thread:

I think this is the way Overstreet sees it now:

Age / Years / Catalysts
Silver / 1956-1970 / Showcase #4
Bronze / 1970-1984 / GL #76, ASM #121
Copper / 1984-1992 / Secret Wars (1984-85), Crisis (1985-86)
Modern / 1992- Present / Image Comics Debut

Looking at the pre-SA periods, Action Comics #1 was the catalyst that launched the Golden Age in 1938. The Atom Age boundaries are murky. Some say it ranges from 1946 to 1955 and others put the starting year a few years later. Atom also is not universally accepted. Some call it a subset of the Golden Age.

I've never heard of the Tin Age. Where did you read that?

I say drop the "Ages" altogether they are as silly as the term "variant". Just silly little marketing phrases.
