Spanish Taco-Fed Elkfighting. Animal Abuse or Sport?

What's your view on this controvercial "Sport"?

I love this sport.

It is far better than curling!

I'm a little worried, though, about your "controvercial" spelling, CG.

Can I change my vote?

I thought the Taco-Fed Elkfighting Elk hit the Spanish guy in the Nuts......that's what I was voting for.

My bad.....

Nevermind.....at least the Spanish guy appears to be looking at the Elks "Nuts"......so I guess I'll keep my first answer.

That's close enough in my book......

The matador is preparing for an attack from THAT end of the elk? Maybe the diet of tacos is a fundamental part of the experience!

What the hell...controvercial, controversial...who cares.

It's not like I have to make important decisions like that every day...

I'm the last person whose toes you need to worry about stepping on.

I was just trying to make a funny myself.

As players in the Change One Letter Game know, I DO have to make earth-shaping, diction-defining, entymological-challenged, language-defining decisions nearly every day.

I'ts a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

As for the role of elk-nuts in this wacky sport?

I'll have to do some research and get back to you.

Film at 11:00.

Speaking of elk nuts...do you know what the difference is between beer nuts and deer nuts?

Beer nuts are a dollar fifty-nine while deer nuts are under a buck!

Ah, very good, CG!

I missed the funny. I was a little tired this morning.

Now, back to my reasoning for loving the sport.

I have watched curling. I have even enjoyed curling. Once, with some friends, on a frozen pond, I even tried curling. I'm not ashamed to admit any of that.

The sweeping, shuffleboard/bocce ball-like action of the game is intriguing to me and there is nothing wrong with loving the sport.

However, the Spanish Taco-Fed Elkfighting provides a level of sport and entertainment not often seen on this or any other planet. I have seen men disembowled and nearly killed in the process of fighting one of these magnificent beasts.

Nobody ever died curling. At least, I don't think so. Some of those guys and gals are a little old.

The difference between beer nuts and elk nuts

Beer nuts are usually $1.50 or more but Elk nuts are always under a buck!

Ah, I remember that match well.

Ricardo Hernandez Ibanez fought bravely; he fought courageously. He fought the elk with every last thing that he had.

There was the rope-a-dope, a childish and immature maneuver generally only practiced by the beginning fighter or the more experienced fighter as a last resort. It was this move that would prove Ricardo's undoing.

Before that, Ricardo threw everything at the beast, including the Kitchen Sink, a move that deeply wounded the great Elk and excited the crowd into a fever frenzy the likes of which had not been seen since the great Juan Gonzalez (not the baseball guy) graced the Elk ring.

I was fortunate (?) enough to have seen this great match in person.

Feeding tacos to elks is just wrong. Everybody knows that tacos are fit for human consumption only.

I can't tell from the picture if the guys are more scared of the tacos or elks.
