I am about to embark on a new venture with a BLUJAY store...or at least I think I am, probably am....yeah.

Anyway, I was wondering how Blujay is doing? Are any of you Blujay users getting much in the way of sales? Is it worth your time? Is it worth MY time?

Any advice, tips or horror stories you can share would be greatly appreciated!

COMING SOON (maybe) :o

I'm probably just going to go ahead and start listing stuff and see what happens. It's not as though it's going to cost me anything other than time to do it.

Well, I had a few sells off my store but it didn't pay for me to list there. I just reopen my ebay store a few days ago and already had sells. I think I'll still use my Blujay store that way I can work up my listings but I'll put most everyone on my ebay store.

Some of the other guys here have had a few sells but I'm not sure how many?

I have had my Blujay store open for almost 7 months and had 1 sale. My Ebay store has been open for almost a month and I have had 17 sales. I to will probably keep my Blujay store open, but slowly move my items to my ebay store.

From the other BlueJay post:

Just signed up on BJ and was wondering how some of you are doing. Anyone here got any experience selling there?

Now that is a great question, I was just wondering the same. #professor#

I heard of them only recently. I was rollin' along well w/ "BargainandHaggle.com" back in the day, but they mysteriously went belly-up overnight?

Any other current BlueJay'ers out there? Let's hear from y'all -- sound off!

Hmmm... I see, sounds like site traffic is a concern, or maybe buyer-trust issues since there's no FeedBack? :???:

Update:

Listed some stuff and had a few lookers,no sales.

Tried to buy something from myself and the invoices added the shipping.

Tried various things and nothing worked,it always added shipping for each item purchased.

Finally said @##@@ & it and canceled all listings. If you look in the help section of community they have a lot of problems.

Rots of ruck!

I always done well with blujay rarelt a day goes by without a order.
On the invoice for the invoice seller has to set it up by going to my blujay them clicking
Update My Sales Policy to either have a flat rate shipping or quanity based shipping

I see you are listing 50 cent comics. Unless you have nothing but time, that isn't making money. Even if you make 100% profit on those listings, I make more than that working 15 minutes of overtime doing something no more difficult than moving emails off the mail server with a click and a drag. How many $20 & up transactions are you getting? Any transaction less than $20 is a waste of my time. I'd do better to just send out comics to random people and toss a $5 bill in with the deal. Time = Money

sales tend to be cyclic for me.
weeks go by with nothing, then boom, here are some new invoices.
since the bulk of my stuff is $1 or less, ebay just eats too much.
So while sales are much lower on Blujay, ay least with no fees, its all mine.

Cool. How do you do your shipping on invoices? I tried but every time it added the shipping together, even though I had mine pretty much as you have yours. That is the only thing holding me back now.I also couldn't het any help on the help board. That was a real turn-off too.

well, right now there's only the two options.
add a little with each additional item or same amount for each.
I have mine left on flat amount for each, but...
I also have a shipping chart for comics with each listing
1-5 = $3
6-10 = $3.5
and so on.
Some people figure it out, some don't.
I just correct the shipping amount when i approve the invoice.
If they've already paid to much, then i refund the diff and include a note as to why.
