The Order cancelled

Well it looks like the Order is cancelled with the last issue being #10.

I haven't had a chance to read this book, but apparently the good stories were not strong enough to boost the weak sales.

I'm not really surprised that this happened. If I may haul out my grouchy fanboy persona for a moment, this book never had a prayer IMHO.

The Order was just another super-hero team book, nothing special about that. A bunch of unknown costumed generic "heroes", marching to the beat of Marvel's new militarized attitude.

But the larger problem with The Order is the high price of new comics. No one wants to take a chance on a new title of unknowns at $2.99 a pop.

It probably would have sold better with the Champions name that it was named to start with. I've never read the books, I probably would pick it up in a lot one day.
