I just read that DC is bringing him back in a new book!

The art looks great, Starlin is writing it.

Captain Comet has ALWAYS been my favorite DC Space guy. I actually had a low grade run of Strange Adventures 9 -39 from way back when.

I signed up for the new book, and all of the ALTERNATE Covers TOO!

One more for the DC pile! WOO HOO!

Is the the book that Starlin works on called Mystery in Space? As far as I know, Starlin is working on that title.

Yeah Yeah Yeah,

Mystery in Space

I just read the blurb thingy in Previews. It's an 8 issue mini-series. It's also gonna have a Neal Adams Variant cover.

Obviously, I'm a fan of Capt Comet. I have been since he was re-intoduced in the original Secrect Society of Super Villans book back in the 70's.

DC Space guy books have always been favorites of mine, Adam Strange, I even consider Green Lantern part space guy sometimes.

But Capt Comet...

The only reason I picked up the Rann Thanangarara war series at all was because I hoped they would use him a little. They did a good job on that.

The Previews thing was enough to hook me, it really looks good.

I hope DC starts using their Sci / Fi Space guys more and more. No one EVER did that stuff as good as they did.

Guess they only way to hope for that is to buy it and hope they do more right!

Man,

Can I pick the obscure stuff huh. Well, you wait and see when this becomes a top 10 sleeper hit. You know, the great story no one expected...

Yeah me too.
I was first introduced to Captain Comet when the 15 issues of the Secret Society of Super-Villains hit the stands back in the 1970's.
I was soooo pissed when I found number 16 wasn't coming out.

I think the first two issues of the new "Mystery in Space" mini series are really good!

The book has outstanding writing AND art.

If you haven't tried it (and you like sci fi stories) you should definately pick up this series.

Now if only someone would re-launch MYSTERIES OF UNEXPLORED WORLDS...sigh...

despite Charlton not being around anymore I am sure someone owns the right and it would be far more costly to wrest away the rights than they would ever make on the series ... whoever that would be. It would be cool to see the right of some of those old Charlton and Harvey stuff come back though.

Yes, it would be cool if the Charlton books were to come back and print again. Exactly....who owns the rights to Charlton titles? Was it DC who bought the characters(Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, Question, etc...) or all of the books Charlton ever published?

If nobody owns those rights, Dynamite Comics would be a company to make those books since they do good books.
