Yeah, Larry Langford's shows were great. He made some bad mistakes though and Dallas has suffered ever since.

I'm hoping to help the guys that promote the DCC to put it back into the top 5 cons in the country like we use to be! :-D

I set up at the Dallas Fantasy Fair one summer many years ago.....didn't make much bread but had a good time.

I remember that Mickey Mantle died in Dallas while we were there.....sad day.....one of my baseball heroes.

And I love all those Half-Price Bookstores down there! (we have a couple from the chain up here in Indiana too)

I also LOVED the Half-Price bookstores in the Dallas area!! The one in Garland knew me by name because I was always in there. I don't know if they still do, but they use to have comics there too.

I don't believe so as Remember When is still around and Larry has disappeared. It's a long drawn out story on what happened with the whole Dallas Fantasy Fair and unfortunately it has left a bad taste in many peoples mouths to avoid coming back to Dallas.

Some day I hope to change all that!

Also, I'd like to update that Tom Morgan will be at the DCC now also.

The Dallas Comic Con is this weekend, April 5-6 at the Richardson Civic Center

Come out and meet special comic book and media guests. The show features a wide variety of artists and writers, including Bob McLeod (NEW MUTANTS), Eric Basaldua (WITCHBLADE), Joe Benitez (MAGDALENA), Tom Morgan (IRON MAN), Kerry Gammill (SUPERMAN), Brian Denham (NOVA), and James O'Barr (THE CROW), to name but a few. Media guests include Kandyse McClure (Lt. Dualla on BSG), Christina Hendricks (Saffron on FIREFLY), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett in STAR WARS), Cindy Morgan (Yori in TRON), and John Wesley Shipp (star of THE FLASH - Sunday only).
