Newsarama has an interview with Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction about Uncanny X-Men #500 and beyond. Interesting I suppose, but more interesting than the interview, are some of the responses on the message board.

It seems that several people are not fans of Greg Land's art and to be honest, although I liked it initially, I beginning to see what everyone is talking about. Every character that Land draws, particularly the females, look as though they are saying "TAH DAH!" Someone needs to take Land aside are remind him of the concept of "less is more". The cover he's done, I assume for Uncanny 500 is pretty indicative of is work, and not too good.

Fingers crossed that I get the Alex Ross cover.

I never thought I would type those words in my life.

Heck, I'm ordering the Ross poster as well. The Land poster is also available for sale but I'll pass on.

As for Land, his art needs "interaction" between characters. If you get what I'm saying.

Does Land just lightbox photos of models?

I don't know, I think he does. I read somewhere about it. The figures he draws is good but it's like they're from porn movies with all the "Ta-Da" looks.

Every single girl he draws always makes me think of Arwyn from Sojourn. Everything after always just looks like her.
