Killed off characters

I was just rereading some John Byrne Alpha Flights. His run was pretty good but I think he ruined that team book. I

thought the strongest most interesting characters were Sasquash and Guardian. Sasquash was neat and had a lot of possibility, finding some other Sasquash taking on big guns like the Thing, Thor etc. He was cool!

The Guardian was the Canadian Captain America and the founder of the team. You need a go to guy like him. I never really liked Heather as the boss. For me, she is John Byrne's She-Hulk of Alpha Flight.

Anyway, I enjoy Byrne's comics but I think he wreaked Alpha Flight before he left the book.

Anybody else have some characters that should have come back or killed off in a stupid way?

For me, the character who should have been killed off would be WOLVERINE. Alright, take a breath, now relax...here's why.

Wolverine has been completely destroyed as an interesting character. He has been presented in so many conflicting ways, that there cannot possibly be only one Wolverine. How many different origins has this character had? Is there any character in the MU that Wolverine isn't either related to or had past relations with? Wolverine has gone from being the mysterious little brute/thug that no one knew or particularly liked, to being the most connected man-about-town.

Another character that should be killed-off is Lobo...the DCU's version of Wolverine.

Characters who should be brought back are harder to figure, because almost all characters which are killed are eventually brought back.

The one I can think of that should be is the "Silver-Age" Flash, Barry Allen, not because I particularly think he needs to come back, there are Flashes all over the DCU afterall, but just because Barry Allen is the only major character killed off during COIE who hasn't been brought back yet, so why not?

Also another character who should be killed AND brought back. The "new" Aquaman should be killed and the classic Aquaman should be returned. Not that the classic Aquaman was anything more than lame, but the new one is confusing AND lame.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Wendell Vaughn Quasar return. I was very disappointed in how he died in Annihilation: Nova.

They should kill off The Punisher once Ennis completes his run because it gonna be hard to top that run.

They should kill off the Punisher because he's not unique anymore - he's a sort of boring dark killer character who now pales in comparison to some of the newer darker characters with powers.

Oh, and kill off Bizarro because he always sucked after the sixties. If I never read another Bizarro story that would be fine.

Aunt May is past her prime too.
