View Full Version : What's So Good About Showcase New England?

About two weeks ago I was interested in bidding on around 40 of the over 600 auctions that Showcase New England had going on Ebay, but the bidding went nuts! I didn't win one of them. A lot of these lots were going above Overstreet, and from past experience I can say that SNE, while pretty good, is definitely not the most conservative grader on Ebay. What's their secret, I wonder?

Welcome to the board Ben! Lots of nice, knowledgable folks here.
The only thing I can think of for SNE, is they have a large "fan base". I, too, have tried bidding on their auctions and lost out due to huge bidding wars. I agree with you on their grading, but a lot of folks must think they are spot on!

They list in bulk so they probably get more bids that way I guess. I won several lots from them a couple years ago. I was VERY disappointed in the grading. VERY loose. I would say 10 out of the dozen lots I won were at least one whole grade off. One of the few time I have not left feedback for a seller.
I will NOT purchase anything from them again.

Nothing's good about Showcase New England. Dan is a prick and their grading SUCKS!. (Sidenote: Dan just had an embarassing email printed by The Scoop. He thought it was private but all submissions were printed, LOL!) I'll see if I can find all the Ebay/CGC threads that badmouth him. And they give vicious return feedback if you neg them.
