This is untrue. Normally I wouldn't mention action taken against a member, but the only thing I did was give Para an infraction, which is the forum equivalent of a stern look. I also sent him a PM warning him to be respectful of other member and notifying him that he was not "banned". I've also asked the other mods not to ban Paratrooper.
So, can anyone tell me why my quite reasonable and not at all disrespectful single post ever in my entire life over on CGC Forum got me banned? Perhaps one of you fine CGC regulars who aren't banned might ask the good gentleman in charge of the forum to at least explain his actions. (Not that I really care)

Actually the IP is pretty useless. People can use internet cafes, login from work, home, whatever and come up with many different IPs for one name. You also cannot always determine location. It dpeneds on how the IP is registered. The range may be owned by a aprent company that is a thousand miles away from the location the actual connection is. I have an IP in work that, if you look it up, is registered about 1500 miles from my office.

It had nothing to do with IP addesses. It had to do with a mandate from on high. And a hairtrigger mouse.
The bottom line in JDBs suspension is that he was defending me and The Corral and thus Arch thought he was me, returning as a shill.
I seriously doubt Arch took the time to check an IP address. It was a hairtrigger thing, that's all.
That's why Arch banned him.
I'm sure the same is true for me and Red Hook; A mandate, a hairtrigger finger and not much more than that. What else do you need as a corporate entity? No reasons are really required at all, other than self-protection.
Some kind of mandate must have come down from "on high" to get rid of the "troublemakers" (read, the people who aren't afraid to point fingers at iniquities and outright scams, even if they involve the hallowed slabs, no, ESPECIALLY if they involve the hallowed slabs) and Arch is just doing his job, like a good soldier.
I mean, heaven forbid such fingers should be pointed at their plastic slabs.
We can't have that! #oldie#
Red, I just want to state once more, publicly, that it is a complete travesty and stab in the back to see you banned at the CGC Forum. And I am proud to have been banned within the same 24 hours as you, sappy as that sounds. It's a badge of honor thing, ya dig?
It really is pitiful. And again, I am very thrilled that you and so many others have showed your support for freedom of expression and ideas and your support for the pursuit of slapping down the scammers and frauds in this wacky hobby of ours, and for the pursuit of TRUTH enough for you all to join us here in our humble (but potentialy powerful) digs here at The Corral.
Gotta go for now, but soon I'll meet you all over in the General Discussion Area, where I'll be leading a heartfelt rendition of "Kumbaya".
See you there!

Great points CG!
The main reason why many of us are here in the first place is because of the button pushers on eBay's discussion board and we were tired of not being able to voice our opinions and expose scammers without fear of being pink slapped.
Obviously the CGC boards operate in the same fashion.
It is nice to have a place where we can discuss things in an adult manner where you don't have to agree with everyone but can respect all points of view.

Well I hate to revisit that shameful (for CGC) episode, but since you asked, here was my one and only ever post to the CGC Forum under the thread 'The Charlton Guy Banned'...
(I'll add the quote thingy so that you get more of the feel of the genuine CGC board)
Hi, never posted here before, but nobody picks on my buddy The Charlton Guy and gets away with it, other than myself.
A few posters have suggested that CG has been banned here, due to comments made on another message forum, independent of CGC, a board on which CG is himself a moderator.
I think most persons will agree that the CGC forum has the right to limit the discussions within their own forums. But they have no jurisdiction outside of these forums as to what can and cannot be said about them or their organization. It's called Freedom of Expression, yeah that's a cliche', but it also happens to be true.
Speaking as a moderator of the Comics Corral let me assure anyone who might think otherwise, that the content of the Comics Corral will not be dictated by anyone other than the Administrator(s) and the Moderators of the Comics Corral. Least there be any confusion.
Long live The Charlton Guy, the only Chalton Guy who matters!
(by the way, you're all invited to stop by and say Howdy!) http://boards.collectors-society.com/images/graemlins/default/hi.gif
I admit that it was somewhat confrontational on my part, but it also hardly warranted banning. But never the less, I was banned because the moderator thought that I was The Charlton Guy in a new guise, despite the fact that I had signed up there months earlier and despite that fact that I have used the same ID on eBay and the Comics Corral for years. But, I can live with it because I've never found that board to be particularly interesting and the format is bloody nightmare. :?
And mind you, I'm not saying that the CGC board is a bad place either, just not really my cup of tea. I never hung out there and now I guess I never will....or WILL I?

Actually, I don't think I ever have posted there and frankly, it doesn't sound like I'll ever want to.
If anything, I think that the CGC Members who have joined us here and even those who prefer staying put on the CGC Boards have been very supportive of the Corral. This support was particularly appreciated by yours truly when I was banned over there. And I think that the folks who have stayed here at the Corral and become great contributing Members are here because this is a much more laid back joint. It's pretty much an apples and orages thing, but I happen to like both apples and oranges, so there you go.
The whole "bitching Nancy" thing is just a CGC inside joke.
As for the "loser" comment in the first post of this thread, I think that was a hairtrigger comment made before Paratropper even knew any of us, before he had a chance to see what this place is about, and I would bet that he has probably changed his mind by now (given the amount of time he is spending in the Arcade these days :D).
So the answer to your question is no, there is no feud.
