Hello.
You do know there is one up on ebay for $3700 or thereabouts right?
Also one went for about $800 last time I looked last nite on Comic link.

I have a limited knowledge of Pedigree books, altho' some stories of origins seem fascinating. I'm looking forward to that book thats coming out.

Do you know when its out, and also why do these Green River books have such crazy prices?
Have I missed something?
Surely that ebay book will never sell?

Apologies in advance for my ignorance.

Never say never...but I do believe it will be awhile before that FF 45 on ebay moves. But then, the hobby always has it's brand of dutch tulip madness every now and then ...

for instance, some blockhead paid over $400 for an 8.5 copy of Strange Adventures #179. That's probably about a $75 book tops. So go figure.

Thanks but I still don't get it?
Yes people do go crazy sometimes and pay premium prices, especially for certain pedigrees, but I don't get why someone would pay $900 (I looked at the final price) for a Daredevil book albeit a 9.6 from 1967 yesterday on Comiclink. This would suggest that theres a few people after them.

Also I believe the FF thats for sale on ebay for $3700+ is the same one that sold a few months back for just over $3000. The guy who bought it is obviously trying to flip it and make a quick $700. My point is this guy appears to be a Dealer who has some nice books but charges excessively in my opinion. Why on earth would he pay $3000 for a 9.4 non-key ordinary FF in the first place?

I mean why? Imagine the kind of book you could buy with three grand?

It beggars belief. With all due respect to any Green River lovers, this is not considered a major pedigree I think, so I really don't understand the thinking behind the purchase, especially from a Dealer.

And also, can you give me any info on the upcoming Pedigree book, it would be appreciated.
This is the nearest I will ever come to owning a Pedigree book, so I'm looking forward to its publication.

Why don't you visit our pedigree forum here ... we're starting to accumulate info on a wide range of collections into one place. Or sign up over at the CGC boards. They might be able to explain the irrational behavior of high grade collectors better than I. You'll probably find info on the pedigree book of which you speak there too.

Thanks.
will take your advice regarding the PEDIGREE forums here, still finding my way around.
As regards that link, no thanks. i'VE VISIted that site before and seen and read some of the stuff that goes under the banner of a 'community'.

I left the bullies in the playground behind a few years ago, altho' I do find some of the train wrecks to be highly entertaining.

Cheers for your help.

With the convention season in full effect unfortunately the pedigree book has been delayed to the Fall now.

As I've said repeatedly... it will be worth the wait. #woohoo#
