Just wrapped up The Boys volume 2 TPB this afternoon. Very good series though I felt TPB volume 1 was better. Not for the kiddies, undoubtedly. Anyone else reading this?

Pssst - it's written by Garth Ennis, although I'd love to see Warren Ellis write an arc or special.
This book has always been on my Pull List. I'd love to see a movie version, starring Simon Pegg, of course.
LOVE SAUSAGE!!!

I love the book.
Agree that it's not been as good as it was under the DC brand but it's still better than most out there and I get a kick out of it almost every month.
Love Sausage, indeed! He was great.

Ya I get a kick out of this one as well. Its one of the few books I read issue to issue. I saw in Wizard magazine that the rights to a "The Boys" movie were bought. Whether it every come to completion or not... well who knows? I agree that the first six issues set a pace that really would be hard to keep threwout a long run. Pretty twisted and very funny.
I've been getting the series since #1. It's quite enjoyable.
I still pretty much buy anything that Ennis puts out, even though I sold off my Hitman and Preacher collections a long time ago. It's nice for Ennis to have a black humor kind of monthly title again.

I remember when I saw that story. I said it then and I say it now if they went in with mindset that they were going to shoot an R/NC17 movie and stuck to that it could be an awesome movie. Don't dumb it down and down clean up the language.
It could be the best movie ever if they actually got Simon Pegg to throw off the comic roles for this and do Wee Hughie.

Ditto for Hellblazer. Ditto for The Punisher.

I'm not sure Constantine was bad because the writers had to write down to Canoe Reeves or because Canoe Reeves is just so spectacularly cardboard that he could ruin any writing.
I kinda liked the Thomas Jane Punisher. Not so much Dolph.
The Punisher movie was much better than expected, especially since it had fraking Travolta in it. I thought they did a good job of taking a lot of the plot from the Garth Ennis comics but mixing it with the origin story. It wasn't great, but it was pretty good considering.
