Earlier today, the local TV news had a feature about a comic pop art museum. It wasn't art by the original artists but just various paintings by some guy. They had Dagwood and Blondie, Snoopy, Donald Duck, Superman and Superman's brother....

Yes, they called Captain Marvel Superman's brother. Just further proof that the media is not liberal or conservative, it's just plain stupid.

How stupid is the media? Forty years after the TV went off they air, they still use headlines with "Pow" "Zap" and "Bam" for newspaper articles about comics.

I emailed about this to an LA Times reporter who story had such a headline. I told him I knew that he didn't write the headline; they have separate staff do that. But I wondered if it bothered him. He responded within a few minutes saying that as a comic-book fan, he was really angry about the stupid headline. He threw the newspaper across the room when he saw it. He must have said something to the editor because the headline was changed for the online edition.
