I read this article today online and it touts lower prices at the pump soon or is it?

Read carefully...it is confusing.

I ask myself this question, less gas means lower prices and more oil means higher prices. That's what the article says.

Yeah it pretty much blows.I used to have a Geo metro that got anywhere between 47 and 52 mpg. That was 19 years ago.WHy can't they make a car do that again? It's NOT that hard.

Check out this link to try to get the government to do something.#rofl#

There is NO REASON for gas to be so high. If it was just because of the price of oil everyone in the country would be paying the same amount and that ain't happening.

Gas in Macon, GA is running $3.78 but here in Griffin it's running right around $4.00, in Atlanta it's running anywhere from $3.90 to $4.07 all in the same city! And yes I know there are taxes but all these different prices are in the state of GA. What is is running in your neck of the woods???

In Central Florida $3.78 to 4.00 its crazy to have this kind of spread within a 20 mile area

Back here in the northern Piedmont area of NC, gas is from $3.83 to $3.93. Yesterday, I filled up my truck to the tune of $103.00.

Yep, it is a F150 and it holds 26 gallons.

It made me cry real hard.

I drove up I-77 through Charlotte and Statesville, then through VA, WV and up to Ohio last Saturday for a High School graduation. There was absolutely no traffic. Let me say that again. Memorial Day weekend and no traffic. I wouldn't have been on the road myself, other than I promised my sister I'd come up.

BTW, Marvelguy, Heroes and Dragons is having a sale a week from tomorrow. Might not be worth the cost of gas, though.

Heck, I've got to fill up the gas can I fuel my lawn mower with, probably gonna be 20 bucks just for that! ACK! I don't even want to think about filling my car, which I'm going to have to do soon...not a big car, but 14 gallons at almost 4 bucks a pop is still 56 bucks!

No vacation this year...again. :(

Does anyone here thinks that the windfall profit tax is going to work wonders for us?

I don't think so because once they do that, they'll raise the price up some more to recover their "tax" loss. Just another political gimmick.
