If you call AOL's cancellation department :evil: they have a new plan where if you connect with a different ISP all of their services except dial-up and online customer service are free. I did this today with one phone call and about five minutes I was set. Just figured I would share this with everyone, if any of you still use AOL.
I found out about it on a website called Fatwallet.com. Here are the steps as posted there by CheapSuperSaver:
Steps:
Call 1-888-265-8003
Select Cancellation Department
Tell them that you access AOL via your Broadband provider and heard that AOL is offering free access provided that you utilize your broadband connection (non-AOL).
If they give it to you, they'll read off a bunch of terms and conditions.
New plan is effective immediately.
