Dang SatansP, did you really have to send that heat here? I know it's not as hot as you got there, but my cold Michigan bones just can't handle 95 (105 heat index), and it's going to be hotter tomorrow! I think I'm going to melt, I don't have AC, as it's not economical to run it the whole week or so it gets above 85 here. :wink:

I don't know about that CG!! I think Georgia can give Texas a run for the money when it comes to heat!! We were up in the upper 90's with a heat index of around 105 to 110 ourselves!! I had to take one of my cats to the vets today and it was just like walking into an oven when I went outside today!! I could hardly beathe because it was so HOT!

I have my air set on 73, with three ceiling fans and two floor fans running all the time. Thank goodness for this old house with it cinder block/concrete walls!!

Yes, one of the funerals was for my wife's brother. A major bummer for the entire family, actually, two communities.

He will be missed.

Like I said though, we are regrouping and dealing with it. Ultimately, it's all one can do.

One summer I hitchhiked through Georgia once when I was a teenager. About my only memory of it was that I was nearly unable to breathe because of the humidity and heat. And that the countryside was very beautiful. Very green.

We only get about four months of green in Upstate New York.

Then eight months of gray and white... #oldie#

We're baaaaaack! We're sooooooo sorry to everyone for ignoring the Corral for as long as we have. Well actually, we weren't exactly ignoring it - our lives have gone from 20 miles per hours to well over 100 miles per hour, all summer long. We simply haven't slowed down since our move to the new house. We've thrown ourselves into our work which is pretty much seven days a week, along with my new band (auditions and practices), Stacey's new hours that seem to change every two days and working on our business proposal for our Online Comic Book Store, that's taking forever to get going. Not to mention a couple of funerals of our own, Stacey's sister's upcoming wedding in a few weeks and spending whatever remaining time we have left spoiling our puppy! Not that we're looking for sympathy, we just simply wanted to appologize for not being around as much as we used to be. Unfortunately right now we don't even see much of each other most days, as well as our friends. But we will try to make some more time for our Corral buddies whom we really do miss and hope they're not mad at us. Take care - we'll keep in touch!
