I've always been a fan of mysteries, detectives, tough guys comics. But I've been out of the bidding loop for awhile (unemployment) and I'm just now getting my old form back. It's just like coming back off the DL, you may still have the old skills, but your timing is off. That's why I was pleased with this auction tonight:

the bid was $13 up until the last minute, when I sniped (2 seconds actually). My max was $26.80, just enough. I hope t***K isn't one of us. Well, most of us.

I like auction sniper because it takes away that anxiety. I'd hate to have a heart attack while bidding on a comic. Joke, that was a joke.

MAL, Did you read RUSE? It's a modern series that I really dug. Kinda like League of extrablah blah blah and Sherlock Holmes and The Jewel in the Nile.

Yes, I liked Ruse, up until I stopped buying new comics. I've got issues 1-26, Silly. (Hmm, do you mind if I call you Silly?)

Ruse? That's probably the Crossgen comic I miss most. Great book. I also liked the first 20 issues or so of Crux; I thought the book had great potential, especially since I kind of like "lost Atlantis" stories (as long as they don't involve Aquaman or Submariner).

And Sojourn. That was pretty good too. Actually, most Crossgen books were more appealing to me than the majority of funny books from the major publishers.

Y'know, I'm like those valiant guys but with Cross gen, I really liked most of their books and the two that I am really trying to build runs of to read straight through are sojourn and crux & also The First. What was the story with Cross Gen, they were making such good stuff and then poof they were gone.
And yeah Ruse was not only the cross gen book I miss most but probably the best new comic I've seen in 5 to 10 years. But I don't read as much as many folks and I'm in a semi-anti-Super-hero Phase.
