My first book from this collection and most definitely not my last.

Distributors Ink, but a Curator no less.
I have a 9.4 Western Penn across the hall.

Distributors ink is one of the identifying marks on the Curators. Nice book, although I was just never crazy about Syd Shores work.

Knowledge is power, and you have much.
Thanks for the info.

Gotta love the way pedigree status takes a defect and magically turns it into an "identifying mark"

Well, in this case...the overall quality of the books was totally off the charts otherwise. The distributor's spray can be either very light and almost unnoticeable, or very jarring.

I owned the Curator copy of Avengers 25. Gotta'd dig out the scan of that. I do miss that book.

Curator is easily my favorite pedigree when it comes to sheer quality of the books. I hope to someday own a Silver Curator ASM, but to date they've all been out of my price range at the time I've seen them. Some day though.

This is currently my only graded Curator book... the 1967, A.C.G. classic: Gasp #1 9.0 w/ WP.

It's nearing Halloween and it was such a sharp pedigreed book too, I just couldn't let it go!

Very interesting book! Those ACG's had some cool covers. Kurt Schaffenberger is best known, I guess for his many Lois Lane covers....

Nice book! Thanks for posting!

Here's a link to an interesting site about Kurt's work.... http://www.sitcomboy.com/LoisLane/loisopen.html

Greetings all!

This is my first post and I thought I would make mention that I bought two un-slabbed Demon Curator's off Mr. Hauser a few weeks ago in NM- condition.

They are both sharp books.

Excellent! Welcome to the Corral!
Thanks.

I stumbled upon this place when researching the Bowling Green pedigree... hung around a bit and checked it out.

Seemed like a decent place.

I'm also always looking to buy some high grade comics (without paying auction fees ;)) whenever possible.

No auction fees. That's the way to go.
