As many of you know, Corral Chips (CC) are the official currency of the forums.

Right now you can use CC mainly for playing in the arcade, but there will be even more ways to spend your Corral Chips some day.

I have started everyone off with 250 Corral Chips in your "checking" accounts. These are the amounts displayed in your threads and Welcome panel at the top right of the screen.

There are many ways to earn Corral Chips:

Induction Credit + 50 CC
Applied when user first joins this forum such as by registration, subscription, manually, etc.

Referral Credit + 250 CC per member referred
Applied when a referral is validated. This is checked every midnight.

Paycheck Credit + 50 CC monthly
Applied every set time period with no particular restrictions.

Activity Credit + 5 CC
Applied every set time period if the user qualifies as having been active during that period.

Birthday Credit + 200 CC

As you can see there are many ways to earn Corral Chips...you just gotta participate!

If you are low on Corral Chips, feel free to take out a loan (http://www.comicscorral.com/forums/credits.php?do=banking)! Just be sure to repay on time to avoid interest, late fees and a poor credit rating...:D

I have no idea how I have amassed over 8,000 in these credits nor do I have any idea of what I'm ever going to do with them.

Just about everything you do while visiting the Comics Corral earns you Corral Chips. Some actions earn more than others...in fact, you earned some by posting that last message...heck, you just earned some by reading my reply to your message!

The Corral Chips are just kind of a fun thing they serve no real purpose other than in the Corral Arcade where they are spent for playing games and rewarded as jackpots for winning games. One day, perhaps they will be worth something more, for now, just earn and enjoy them! ;)

In a different venue the collection of corral chips probably isn't that much fun.

But it's a blast here.:)

At the old original Comics Corral (may it rest in peace), Corral Chips didn't exist, but instead members earned "karma point" in the same manner. Of course there was no arcade in those days...just a forum and a funny little cartoon picture in the logo of a cowboy shooting a comic out of some outlaw's hand. Good times....

We used to have an auction here on a previous board where you bid your "karma" for some books. I think I had some SA books out of the deal.

The storyline involves many colourful characters, monsters and robots, those of which lived side by side in general disharmony. Completely unable to work as a team, in fact “work” and “team” weren't in the monster’s vocabulary so the monsters roamed free within their habitats and occasionally risked being painfully dismembered by other monster species if they strayed too far from home – and this was the way of the monsters and so life went on, until a small and mysterious do-gooding alien life form arrived.

This lifeform was to be known as The Maker. The Maker was responsible for making many things, more specifically he made Robots. The Maker’s own Planet was dying and his fellow species were doing nothing about it, seeing the inevitable destruction-the Maker planned his escape.
