That's an absolutely insane price.

I suppose there are a couple of rich idiots out there who would pay for a bindery defect.

How about this idea:

I'll spend about $20 to $30 on five NM to NM+ copies, carefully wed the covers, send it to CGC, get a 9.6, and charge $2,500 for it.
