Omega the Unknown 2007-08 maxi-series

I just wrapped this up and I thought the entire package was somewhat unique and interesting, especially coming from Marvel Comics. I gotta say I kind of liked it. Anyone else read this?

It was definitely odd, very odd for Marvel. It felt much more like a Vertigo book. It was a fun read, but I'm not sure I'd give it the biggest recommendation.

I liked the original Bronze-Age Omega title, but the art for the new series was a turn-off for me.

Isn't there a new Captain America series that has a similar look?

I still lack the last issue so don't spoil it for me.I read the first couple of issues and then just laid it back but my lcs doesn't like cancelations when only one person orders a title so I decided to finish it out.

My first observations were how lame the art was.I had to ask myself what was the whole point of retelling the story this way.I was a big fan ot the original run and was very disapointed in how it ended in the Defenders series.

I'll make another observation when I pick up #10 in a few days and read the entire run but so far I ain't impressed.
