Most of you probably already know that I am a debt collector. I am past the point of actually having to call people, and just sit around in my office making sure that everyone else is raking in the dough. Sometimes, I make paperclip sculptures in my spare time.

My job is special because I get to talk to the really really really mad customers. If you enjoy being berated all day long, you should really consider a career in debt recovery. tee hee

Honestly, I enjoy doing it. I used to feel bad about collecting money from people, but it doesn't really bother me too much anymore. I find that I can be quite persuasive when it comes to getting people to pay money and I am usually called upon to deal with the really difficult people.

Anyway, that's what I do. My other "job" is the Corral and it's the best job I've ever had. It's easy and the folks are nice to work with! :cool:

I'm a buyer (Director of Sourcing actually) for a manufacturer and distributor of fasteners. No, not like diaper pins, more like nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, etc. Not too exciting except that I get to travel frequently to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. I was a Chinese Mandarin major in college, and I love the opportunity to use the local language when chatting with, er, new acquaintances in Asian watering holes. I'm in the perfect position for me, and I'm trying hard not to get either demoted or promoted.

Me, I'm a housewife who happens to collect and sell comics and books on ebay. Right now I'm a caregiver with my father and spending alot of time at the hosptial.

Well let's see...

Been working retail the last 15 years or so.
Mostly big box, but had my own comic shop ("Rangeline Comics" in Indy) for 10 years.
Been department manager, orderwriter, Inventory analyst, unloader, and of course, stocker.

Prior to that I spent +10- years working at the local High School as a custodian.

Amongst all that I also served a couple of years at UPS (shouda' stayed).

Pizza Delivery (great money, free pizza), Full time musician (when I'm in a band), I want to go to school and learn how to be a Graphics Designer and I'm going to open an online comic book store selling Golden and Silver age books. Stacey is in Healthcare (billions of charts to file), is going to open our comic book store with me and wants to be a finacial planner. We also want to move (permenantly) to our home ..San Diego!! Hopefully in a few or more years. :-D :P

I'm a middle school math teacher going into my second full year, first full year at this current school.

I love this job. I've been wanting to be a teacher for quite a while now and I'm so happy that I've gotten the job that I've always wanted.

Who was it that said, "If you enjoy your job, you will never work a day in your life."

That's exactly how I feel.

Though, I can sometimes relate to Hoss being berated all day. :lol:

Hey Redsun, sorry to hear of ALL your troubles...do you have a car, cause pizza delivery usually gives great tips....just a thought for right now....hope you guys are getting through all these shots to the stomach!
