My local guy has very recently packed it in with new comics. For the first time, I'll be searching for a new comic mail order subscription service.

Of course, I'm looking for quality service, secure packing and great discount.

Suggestions please!

I use http://www.dcbservice.com/index.aspx.

Started using them in June and have been quite satisfied.

Pretty good discounts. On my order that's not yet shipped, Terror Titans is listed at $1.49 and JSA at $1.79.

Shipping is $5.95 a month or you can double that for twice a month shipping.

They offer a variety of bag and board options.

If you sign up today you can order this months comics by uploading their Excel Previews spreadsheet and probably not miss any issues. Once you've created your first order it'll also be added as your pull list and then every month just generate an order from that.

They don't do anything automatically so it's up to you to manage your pull list and orders.

They're usually fairly prompt in responding to emails and if you find something you want added to an order, they'll tack it on for you.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with them.

Richard is the one I had my subscription with and you couldn't ask for a better job with packing and shipping, 20% off and he bags and boards every comic he sends you. Just as soon as I get to were I can start buying new comics again he will be the one I will be going back to:

I'd have to say the best one I know of is MailOrderComics.com (http://www.mailordercomics.com/). They offer huge discounts on just about everything as they are one of the largest retailers of new comics out there. They have some serious buying power. You can't go wrong with that. They also have some pretty great customer service. Check them out, you won't be sorry.

I have to agree with James, I've been using mailordercomics.com for over a year and have been very satisfied with their service and prices. I was hesitant about buying comics through mail order services, but was pleased with the service.

I just started with this site tonight. But I wanted to chime in and say that I use DCBS for my monthly new comic orders. I have been using them now for about a year and a half. In that time I have received 1 damaged book and was missing 1 book(both from the same order). I e-mailed them and they sent replacement copies with the next months order. They also sent an e-mail explaining that the books would be in the next shipment.

After many years with mailordercomics.com I had to quit them. Wasn't receiving books on my pull list but was getting, and being charged for, books I never ordered. They couldn't seem to get it together. Problems never fixed. Extremely poor customer service. I'd suggest giving someone else a try first.
