That's the 64,000,000 million dollar question. He "has" it at the end of the story I mentioned but I'm surprised to see it in the teaser here. I was hoping someone would notice it like you....

Seriously, I admire David Finch's art but the stink of Loeb is there....

Case in point...the Rulk (Red Hulk for those who didn't know, I didn't know either where that word came from) from EdMcG and Loeb has been built up to a whodunnit from the first issue to now (#6). It felt like chinese water torture after I read the last chapter.....

Ultimates Nick Fury is black !!!!

That's right. The Ultimate Universe is totally upside-down from the Marvel Universe that we read and love. Some people don't like it and some do. Ultimate Nick Fury looks like Samuel Jackson in the Ultimates series by Millar and Hitch. It's a great read, check it out if you haven't done so. It's The Ultimates and The Ultimates 2. The recently concluded Ultimates 3 series is done by Loeb and Madureira. It's a prelude to Ultimatum. There are some titles in the Ultimate books that has a preface on it called March to Ultimatum. The rumor going around is that 2 titles will be cancelled after the event concludes, I'm guessing Ultimate FF and Ultimate X-Men. This is supposed to shake things up, hence the wording in the teaser image.

Is it true that Mephisto and Mary Jane are married in the Ultimate Universe? I also heard that the leader of the X-Men is Professor Xi'an, who was originally a Chinese woman on crutches named Gwen Stacy. It all sounds pretty ultimate to me! :p

It's something I'll read in tpb format probably...esp if it's the rumoured end of the Ultimate universe...

But they've been saying that for a couple years now...so who knows.

I read Ultimates V1 and the first 8 or 9 trades of Ultimate X-Men...but they just didn't have staying power for me.

I thought a 'new universe' idea would be fun...but didn't do much for me.

Really wish they'd invest more time and money in the real 'New Universe' stuff than this.

IMO, the whole Ultimate Universe thing peaked at the end of Ultimates 2. How could you possibly top that?

The Hammer is different from the one Thor uses in Ultimates. Anybody noticed that?

I thought it might look different but just chalked that up to artist interpretation.

Yes, I think it could be...Hitch version is good for the Ultimate Universe while Finch version reminds me of 616 Universe.
