If you had read the Guardians series of the 90's, then Valentino was the artist on that series. There's news that he had a variant drawn for #7. I'll be sure to get that for old times sake.

MG,I just scored the first 5 issues at my LCS Last week and it's a pretty good read.I'd like to see Peter Quill go back to his old uniform.Is there a reason for the new one?

A while back I got nearly 100 Guardians books for $26 including shipping,all the way back to their first apperance,all the Marvel Presents,several Defenders x-overs,some of the Avengers books,the mini-series,the full 90s run w/annuals and several guest apperances.

This winter I may set down and read them all.

It's awesome! I've never read the 70's stories but I have a reprint of their first appearance. I first read the 90's series and it's what got me hooked on the team, plus Valentino's work as well.

Speaking of Valentino,I got some Myth Adventures yesterday to finish up the run and he did the art in #'s 9-12.Foglio did the first 8.Very funny stuff.

The original novels by Robert Asprin are just awesome......it's too bad Asprin passed away early this year. I will miss his fun loving writing.....

I loved the 90s series from Valentino and if you go over to his board at Image he will tell you how he plotted out the other issues that didnt get published.

Buying the new series and its okay not great, but decent enough to stick with.
