I can't believe it but it really does work!!!

I got an email from Paypal:

Dear Linda Womack,

We were recently notified that a payment you received was reversed by the buyer’s bank. A bank reversal can be requested by the bank itself or the bank account holder.

We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until our inquiry is complete.

We are contacting you to learn more about this transaction.

To help in our investigation, please reply with the following information within seven calendar days:
1. Details about the item you sold
2. The buyer's name and address
3. Whether or not the item has been shipped. (If you have not yet sent the item, please do not ship it.)
4. A phone number where you can be reached for more information
5. Any email correspondence you have had with the buyer

If you have already shipped the item, please also provide:
1. Name of the shipping provider
2. Date of shipment
3. Tracking number

For transactions of $250.00 USD or more, please let us know whether you would be able to provide a proof-of-receipt in the form of a signature from the buyer.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.

Thank you for using PayPal!
The PayPal Team

So I called Paypal and talked to a very nice man and when I was able to give him a Delivery Confirm number and he checked it (I guess with the USPS website) I was given back the money that had been put on hold!!

It was for a sell out of my store back in July! I never got any feedback from the buyer and this after I sent a couple of different emails asking if everything was OK. I finally left feedback since the item was paid for and was received (DC number) by the buyer, in August.

I'm happy for you Linda. I will use Paypal when they pry the money orders out of my cold, dead fingers.

Thank you, MG!!

malaprop,

I'm not sure I like the idea of not being able to use Money orders/cashier's checks. Doesn't that start today?

Linda

I've used PP for about a year and a half. I've had no problems whatsoever.

It does start today. No more paying with checks or MO. Ebay is starting to pull listing that are not compliant.

I'm done with Ebay. Although, I do use PP but I used to sent MO and checks for Ebay purchases for 3 years on. Imagine that, no problems at all without PP.
