How about making this one a sticky one too?

One of my favorite covers from the 80's:

One of the few X-Men books I still have.

Yeah! The covers on the whole set are pretty damn good. I liked the story too, but the series didn't last long. Here's the second issue of it:

One of my favorite Peter David books. I was pissed when it was canceled but IDW picked it up.

Spinning out of the pages of Civil War #4, it's the all-new Thunderbolts, starting with #110. Here's the info and preview cover.

THUNDERBOLTS #110
Written by WARREN ELLIS
Penciled by MIKE DEODATO
Cover by MARKO DJURDJEVIC
Variant Covers by LEINIL YU
“Faith in Monsters” Part 1 of 6
Venom, lethal protector! The enigmatic Moonstone! Bullseye, the man who never misses! Songbird, mistress of sound! Chen Lu, the Radioactive Man! Swordsman, master of the blade! The mystery man called Penance! And Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin! They’re America’s newest celebrities, ready to take to the skies at a moment’s notice in pursuit of those secret, unregistered superhumans hiding among us! They’re the All-New, All-Deadly THUNDERBOLTS—making the world a safer place for ordinary people one would-be costumed hero at a time! In the wake of CIVIL WAR, Warren Ellis and Mike Deodato present a dark and disturbing take on Marvel’s most wanted, where the line between hero and villain is difficult to find—if it exists at all!

I loved the old Thunderbolts, but this might pique my interest since Warren Ellis is writing it.

Here's a peek at the Mike Turner cover for Onslaught:Reborn. Keep in mind this is a 50/50 cover split, none of that 1 to 120 ratio crap.

I would buy that book just for the cover alone, not the hideous Liefeld art. :-D

The info says that a X-Man dies in this issue, my bet is Nightcrawler.

Maybe it's her secondary mutation growth or that she is using her reality powers to make that one up.

If that's the case, then I bet there's really 4 of them. We just can't see the one on the other side.

Normally I wouldn't touch modern CGC books but this is one series that I am working on putting together in CGC 9.8 or better. I already have the Variant of #1 CGC 9.8 I don't have an image of that right now though because my scanner doesn't do slabs.

Hey ox, is that series any good? I have her first appearance in NYX, but didn't much care for that series. My wife liked it though, so I kept it. Is her ongoing better?

Hey, SP, I liked the series. I liked the story and art, especially her origin. It has some cool moments.

NYX was okay but if you read X-23, her Uncanny appearances and New X-Men stuff there does not seem to be any room for the NYX continuity. They do not mention it at all. It would seem that the X-23 mini could lead into NYX but on the whole NYX is not crucial to any sort of X-23 continuity.

That being said the six issue mini, her Uncanny appearances and New X-men from 20 to present are really good reads imo. Tan is one of my favorite artists and the mini was coloured nicely. Not all dark and gloomy like so many other marvel books so Tan's art looks even better. Kyle and Yost certainly make X-23 a far more interesting read than she was in NYX. In Uncanny she was one nasty character which I loved and was in keeping with how Kyle and Yost portrayed her in the X-23 series.

I cannot wait for the new mini in December it looks freaking awesome ... art-wise anyway:

I don't know if you'll like it but I found the X-23 and New X-Men stuff really good.

That CGC copy arrived yesterday and I was pretty pleased with it. IT is definitely better than my raw copy and in better shape than my CGC 9.8 Limited Edition #1 which I thought was not graded well at all and I may just grab another copy and sell off the one I have.

Seriously though, I think that's just a seam on her bodice.
