Last Tuesday (11-11) I brought home.....
Hellboy II
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (best buy limited tin....yes I AM a sucker)
Kung Fu Panda w/extra DVD (for the 12 year old...but I liked it too!)
Today (11-18) going to get....
Doctor Who: Season 4 (can't wait to start on this one!)
Wall E (again for the little boss)
Haven't decided on Tropic Thunder yet
and it looks like Best Buy has some great sales on TV sets....so maybe a couple there.
If I didn't already have the Smallville sets I would get those as they are on sale down to $14.99 each!
Any other DVD/Blueray addicts get/getting anything last/this week?!?

No way am I putting anymore money in George Lucas' pocket to support his addiction to making cartoons. Although I will say that the actors in the animated Clone Wars are more realistic than those in the Prequel films.

I was never much of a Doctor Who fan... but I've been watching Torchwood and like it. How similar are the two shows? There was one really bad Torchwood episode that I thought was too much like a Doctor Who episode, where Ianto tries to revive his girlfriend who looks like a half-Robocop/half-Barbie amalgam... but maybe I was being unfair. Maybe it would have been a bad episode in either Series.
Smallville at $14.99? Is that at Target?

Best Buy has a $14.99 TV sale going, including Smallville. I might pick up a couple seasons....haven't decided yet.

I like Torchwood too! Much darker than most Doctor Who episodes. Overall I prefer the humor and goofy action of the Doctor Who series but again I do like both series.
Smallville at $14.99 is at our Best Buy stores! Great deal!!

The rest of the family and I saw Kung Fu Panda and Wal-E at an honest to goodness drive-in theater. We were all a bit underwhelmed by Kung Fu Panda. However, Wal-E is an excellent post apocalyptic Sci-Fi movie in my view and a fun cartoon in my kid's view. I'll definitely pick it up.

OOhh DVD's. Something else I hoard *ahem* collect.
Just got Season 3 and 4 of The Shield - really like the show.
Also Juno - chick flick comedy but has its moments. Ellen Page is astonishing.
American Gangster - Too long and seemed awful rushed at the end. Still, I'd watch Denzel Washington reading the phone book.
No Country For Old Men - haven't seen it yet, might watch it today
Almost finished Dexter, Season 2, and really like it

Dexter Seasons 1 & 2 are on my "to watch" list.....bought 'em a while back but haven't got to them yet.
Update to my purchase list.....
Along with Wall-E and Doctor Who I got....
The Zombie Diaries (Love my zombies!)
and from the $14.99 TV set sale at Best Buy I got Seasons 1,2 & 3 of Two and a Half Men......everyone who I have talked to who watches the show say it is very funny so I figured at the discounted price I would give 'em a try.
