Hey everyone, I think I know but there's a lot going on here and could use some other opinions. What's the grade? Here we go..

X-Men # 16 What you should know.

Defects.

Minor tears in interior margin. Minor soiling/staining on front cover and back cover only, not interior. (this is the tricky part) in five very small areas..some not very obvious and some more obvious. Couple of 2 millimetre edge chips. Date stamp. Obvious cover creases and spine wear. Few color flecks and scrapes

Good Qualities.

Off white pages. Complete. No odor. Great staples. Great reflectability. Spine fine, no tears or splits. No spine roll. Very slight staple pulls. No staple rust or migration. Centerfold tight. Very solid issue.

The soiling that isn't obvious is Back Cover Top Right, Back Cover Left Side Middle and Front Cover Bottom Right.

HH.....I would say from the scan VG/F or a 5.0.

To me, that's a really nice looking comic. I'd have no trouble considering that a VG+/FN-, based on the scan of course.

Honestly, this is one of those books that presents extremely well, but I bet CGC would hammer it for an accumulation of minor defects. There's a boatload of spine stress there.

4.0

Just my opinion.

Hey everyone, thanx for playing.

This book when in hand reads like a 6.0 FN according to OGG but I too think that it is a definate 5.0 VG/FN which is a much safer grade. It fits a lot of the criteria of a 6.0 but because of those water stains, to me I'm much more comfortable with a 5.0

I don't know why this particular issue was such a pain to grade (especially when I was in agreement with the majority of the three different boards I asked) but it had me second guessing myself something fierce and I just needed some support from my friends.

Thanx again everyone. C-ya in the funny papers.
